We start as the dawn comes up and Kiba is still asleep...
...and so is Hinata...
but Sazanami wakes up to sneak away. But they catch him leaving and so he tells them his story, the reason he's wanted and the reason he has to get Gosunkugi...
Sazanami was a blacksmith making swords.
He took a katana took to the home of a client (?) on the night of a festival and witnessed an intruder leaving their house...
He engaged Gosunkugi with his sword, but he got away. Sazanami approached the house...
and stumbled onto a murder....
...of which he was accused.
...so when he escaped, he became a bounty hunter after seeing bounty posters, and seeing one of Gosunkugi...
Naruto and the others refuse to cede Gosunkugi to him though; it is their mission and as ninja, they can't drop it. They leave Sazanami to his thoughts. Very moody, beautiful image from the animators here. Great pose, great colours...everything.
Sazanami decides to follow them of course. Meanwhile, the Konoha team are also being followed, but these utterly inconspicuous men in pom poms....
Gosunkugi tries to be cool and hide and eat dangos like Itachi and Kisame. But of course, he's not nearly as cool as they are. ^^ The loser!!!
and...there's a mighty battle! XD
and it seems Gosunkugi is stealing this big bell (looked like it was made of gold, giant temple bell, so they chase him to his boat...
and justly Sazanami makes the catch! :)
However, the bounty Hunter whose been chasing Sazanami turns up and they take him away. But luckily, the authorities have realised what has happened and Sazanami is freed! :D
Yay!
And the team head back to Konoha, where Naruto realises he's going to get chewed out again.
...and that's all folks!
Next Week, on Naruto.....Crack...
