meep - question
Dec. 1st, 2005 01:08 pmWell, it's nearing X-mas time and that naturally leads to me thinking "what awesome video games are out there for people to get me?" I just discovered Lyk-Sang and I have a question for any Naruto imports players:
Has anyone played the Narutimate games? How difficult would they be for someone who has a limited understanding of Japanese? (as in, I read the kanas fine but I am rather lacking in Kanji, and high-level grammar is a mystery to me).
Your responses are greatly appreciated~

I've heard more than a few opinions that the NH games aren't very fun and that the fighting system is a bit broken, but I can't vouch for that myself. I can at least tell you that I have GNT3, and even though GNT4 has very few improvements over 3 (a couple new mechanics, a handful of new characters), I plan on getting it because it's that much fun.
As far as navigating these games, GameFAQs.com always has what you need if you need translation. My "knowledge" of Japanese is currently limited to hearing certain phrases (those overused in anime), but I can make my way around GNT3 without a problem.
