he all, i wanted to get a public opinion on how to play japanese games on my PS2.  i've just purchased Narultimate Hero 3, and am looking for the best/cheapest way to be able to play it.  if it helps it's the model # SCPH-39001/N.  not sure what that means/if it's necessary, but there it is.

thanks to any and all that can help me!

You have to modify your PS2 with a chip... this costs 100 USD or more... though some of my friends got it cheaper... You need to find someone who can modify your PS2... or you do it on your own. There are some instructions online so that you know how to put a chip into your PS2...

I would not recommend to use SwapDiscs since they can damage your PS2. It's cheaper but it could be that you have to buy a new PS2 a few weeks/months later...

I think your cheapest bet would be to buy a mod disc and a slide card - I'm sure Emilee could help you out with those more than I can. xD Just good "ps2 mod disc" or something, and you should find some nice stuff.

Mod discs are safer anyway - you don't have to worry about frying your ps2 whilst trying to sauder a modchip in place and what not.

My buddy Johji used the mod disc and slide card, so Id say that's your best bet. :D! Good luck!
