Sasuke as Sai

I know that this hasn't been mentioned ina whiel but I'm drawing Sasuke as Sai... I'm half done my picture now I just need to be able to draw his stomach... Which is the whole point and I know it! Argh! Stupid hott male midriff! Anyone have anything to help me out? Tips? I'm aggravated! I'm begging now! >>; I hope I can be given some good tips...

I guess just have a look at Kishimoto's own drawings! ^^ Sai has actually got quite a flat stomach. He doesn't have a crazy developed rectus abdominus (also known as the six pack) so his stomach doesn't require lots of muscular anatomy. ^^

Just remember that mens' torsos aren't like womens' so that they don't taper inward a great deal. Their hip/waist ratio is much smaller. Well I can't put it into words without pictures, so here is a good site with anatomy tutorials:

No problemo! ^_^ And since Sasuke and Sai are pretty young, you don't really have to worry too much about muscles or making the abdomen look totally rock hard lol xDD from what I see, Kishimoto draws them all pretty slim instead. That site just has really great guidelines~

Men's hips are more exentuated than women's. Try drawing a line trailing from where the thigh meets the crotch upward to form the shape of the stomach.
