Tonight's episode of Naruto, and speculation

Ohhh, ramen battle filler episode. TEH FUNNY.

One of the advantages of living in Japan is you get to see this stuff when it airs. One of the disadvantages is my Japanese is kinda craptastic (BUT! I understood the episode ok).



This episode was pure joy to watch. The basic jist is Ayame gets kidnapped. Your main genin are Naruto, Chouji and Sakura. OMG, Chouji LUUUURRVVE.

Naruto and Chouji go to get ramen, and GASPOMG, it's closed? Well, what do our ramen fiend heroes do? Walk away?

NO!

Trust Chouji and his nose to say "Wait! I smell something. . . "

Lo, someone's cooking, but not for customers. . . .

So of course, Chouji and Naruto do the logical thing.

THEY SNEAK IN LIKE GOOD SHINOBI.

And, like good genin, they get hit in the head with wood for thier troubles. And fall through the ceiling.

Okay, I'm not going to do play by play, because it's filler, and you'll love it. Trust me, it's a funny episode. It's not as on crack as the Kakashi's Mask episode, but nothing is. (well, maybe the filler episode of FMA with Roy instead of Ed and Al, but this is a Naruto community).

Anyway, about the scenes from next episode. . .



Okay, this is UNVERIDFIED, number one, and number two--wasn't paying attention to Nihongo, only to pictures. And I have NO conformation, but I thought I'd get people's hopes up anyway. XD

Umm. . . I spotted Orochimaru's evil grin. And I SWEAR TO GOD, I saw a sweating Sasuke and A SasuNaru battle, buuuuut I think that was ALL stock footage. Or my mind plating tricks on me. My friend said she saw Shizune. But I really think I saw Sasuke. Cause that looked like a higher collar, buuuuuut. . . . .

Anyway, bank on me NOT having seen Sasuke. BUT I DID SEE OROCHIMARU'S GRIN. Which I think he was mentioned in the newsbite summaries from Newtype, right?

Anyone want to back me up on any of this? Especially if you have leet japanese skills. I'm afraid the only ninjitsu I have is the "Spending lots of money no jitsu." No "nihongo shaberimasu no jitsu." Sorry!!! XD

Yup, I posted spoiler summaries for the next arc and it does have to do with Orochi indirectly, with something in his and Anko's past relationship. So he might well make an appearance. ^^ I hope he does. Because...I lurve him. ^^

I *did* see his smile. Because you cannot mistake that creepy grin for anything.

Incidentaly, I find him incredibly attractive when he isn't reminding my of Voldemort's forgotten Japanese Love Child. XD

... I just scared the bejeezus out of three of my friends in the school computer lab having an absolute freakout at the prospects of even GLIMPSING Sasuke in filler (nevermind Orochimaru, who is sex incarnate as he is).
Even though it's filler, it's still awesome and better than re-runs and no new episodes whatsoever :P

Yeah, I really don't know what was up. It was like, "OMG SASUKE???"

Yeah. I freaked out. LOL. And I'm not even a Sasuke fangirl.

Yeeaaaahhh, I just watched the filler ep. DEFINITELY Orochimaru, but then I went "Oh wait, SASUKE?" and rewound it a couple times. That hella looks like him, all sweating and convulsing and what have you, and that's definitely him getting slammed into the water, but I think that's footage from the hyooj sasunaru fight. So, I dunno. But I thought that episode was to come this week? That's what the preview tagged on the end of 166-167 said. Weird.
