Konohamaru is sick!!!

Ikue Ohtani has fallen ill and will be taking a break from voice acting. Fuji TV states that, starting with the January 22 episode (#141) of Konjiki no Gash Bell, she will be replaced by Konami Yoshida. She voices titular character, Gash. On One Piece, where she voices Chopper, Fuji TV states that she will be replaced by Kazue Ikura, also starting with the January 22 episode (#154). No time frame for her return to voice acting was stated, however both replacements were referred to as temporary.


Konohamaru may be a bit annoying at times (there's something about his getup that irks me a bit too) but she manages to make him endearing at least. she's an awesome actress (Pikachu!! among other roles... and it was cute when Iruka/Toshihiko Seki chased her in one seiyuu event) with a genuinely kawaii voice, so i hope she'll be fine. >_<

and back to seriousness, there's a recent scare of sudden mysterious illnesses going around (like that ADV guy that suddenly dropped dead i think) plus mentions of cancer get thrown around in the site's discussion board, i sure hope not! >_<

also, there's something about the Japanese and their secrecy with serious illnesses... nooooooooooooooooo!!
