Yeah, so, everyone has their OTP's in the Naruto fandom, yes? (OTP = One True Pairing)

Now here's a question...what is your OWP? (OWP = One Worst Pairing) Reasons to support your choice would be very nice, rather than just a spaz comment like:

OMG I HATE NARUTO/SAKURA NARUTO BELONGS WITH SASUKE!!

And I must BEG, since this is a pretty touchy topic, for everyone to respect each other's opinions and be nice and mature. This is a fantastic comm and everyone would love to keep it the way it is, I'm sure. ^_^

Kakashi and Iruka. I don't see a reason as to why people put them together, as the only interaction they've ever had was Kakashi telling Iruka to shut up about him letting the kids into the exams. XD

But it's mainly the (obnoxious part of the) fanbase that annoys me. u_u;

awwww of course the first response is against my own OTP. XD I will just like to say the fact that they have so little interaction is what makes it possible; they don't hate each other, get along well, have some similarities and basically it's very possible they are dating off-screen. SO many naruto pairings just make no canon sense, and since there is nothing in canon AGAINST kakairu, I find it believable.

I think crack pairings are all well and good (Ebisu/Gendo! YEAH!) but the ones that go completely against canon bug me. Sasuke just isn't interested in ANYONE, Sakura would't go with anyone but sasuke (saku/kaka=ew) and gaara/lee? WTF ON A STICK.

hmm, this is pretty interesting. I'm pretty much okay with all couples. 'm a gen fan lol 8D. But I guess it would be Sasuke/Sakura. Don't get me wrong. I don't hate it but I just like all the other pairings better XD. If Sasuke would've stayed maybe I'd like them

Aww, I'm so guilty of secretly loving LeeSaku. ^__^ And SakuSasu doesn't work because Sakura is way too...loud and...yeah. And Sasuke loves no one. With the exception of a pet gold fish he might have. XD

To start off, your icon pwns.

Personally, as per being a SasuNaru fan, I'm not all that fond of SasuSaku. Sakura's fallen into puberty's most terrible trick: puppy love. She sees that Sasuke is extremely good looking, successful in his school work, and that paints a big fat target on the poor boy by Sakura's hormones. Without any regard for who he may really be, she just LEAPS onto him with her little school girl crush. As we know, those don't last very long ;)
Also, she doesn't really have anything to bring to the relationship. They have totally different personalities and she can't say that she understands ANYTHING of what's going on with him. I can't see Sasuke being the kind of guy who'd be into a girly-girl like Sakura. That's two things Naruto has going for him ahem.

I'm sure I could think of some more pairings I could rag on (most involving Sakura... tee hee), but I'm sure other people'll explain 'em XP

Hmmm my OWP...

SasukexSakura is definitely hard for me to stomach. Now don't get me wrong, I like Sasuke, but he's a cold bastard. I think Sakura is much too emotionally needy to be with a guy like him. (I like InoxSakura or LeexSakura)

I can handle almost any other pairing I think. Many are not my cup of tea but SasuSaku is the only one that I avoid at all cost. ^_^

I have the exact same complex. (But bunches of people in this fandom are pairing whores, so...)

There are different pairings that I enjoy at different times. It really keeps one from getting bored when looking for good fanfiction and the like, becuase you're not so limited in what you can look for... Well, I guess I like pretty much anything if it's well-written - or at least unique/interesting/convincing.

Just curious - have you ever had any really random pairings you never would have thought of, that you've been convinced of through fanfiction?

Lee/Sakura. Mostly because a romance goes against both characters. Lee's the type to set impossible standards for himself and trying the win the heart of a girl who's crazy for another guy is a pretty impossible goal. Sakura’s chosen Sasuke and her desire to protect and heal him and driven to be the powerful ninja she is now. Not to say that Sasuke has to return her feelings, but she’s not going to settle for anyone else.

And I love Lee too much to push him with a girl who’s in love with another guy. he needs to be gay with Naruto and Gaara, anyway.

I like Lee a lot too. ^_^ I agree that I hate to see him pining over Sakura forever. I do like the LeeSaku pairing when it is done in the future though. I think eventually Sakura will realize she wants a nice guy that thinks she is the most important thing in his world. (so not Sasuke XD)

I think any Naruto pairing is on crack, even possible cannon ones like NaruSaku. Simply because, the show isn't focused on romance aside from the random cracked out crushes people get. And then there's Gai. But I don't really have any particular pairing that I hate. Just some that I try to avoid cause I think the fans can be annoying. But that goes for any fandom, not just Naruto.

I don't think anyone bent on revenge/full of intense anger is a good candidate for any pairing, i.e. itachi, gaara, sasuke. I just don't think having people like that romantically involved with someone would have a healthy outcome. But my favorite pairing still is Sasunaru, despite that more logical story-line-keeping reason.

I'm also against incest pairings, on the basis that its kinda disturbing. no offense.

And really, it has nothing to do with being a NaruSasu fan. Honestly. I didn't like Sasuke and Sakura together before I started shipping Naruto and Sasuke. I think it was because of Sakura's crush that she was so horrible to Naruto at the beginning of the series. When Sasuke said "You make me sick" to her, in episode... 3(?) I burst out laughing. ;x

Well, I know she's grown up, that's nice. Whatever. For me, Sakura/Sasuke is like an icky fairy-tale story... "Girl gets angsty guy of her dreams and changes him with her love" Meh. Ew. Its boring to me, very flat. I just don't think the two of them are compatible with each other. The boy could barely take being friends with Naruto, much less moving on to entering into a romantic relationship.

I'd much rather see Sakura with someone who changed her (notably, Lee) or I could even take Naruto/Sakura even though its not that exciting either.

So yeah... ew SasuSaku. >.>

Not to mention: SASUKE WOULD BE THE WORST BOYFRIEND EVER.

Personally I'm very flexible with pairings, but LeeSaku and NejiTen erks me. I don't exactly hate them, just prefer to avoid them though I could enjoy it if it were one-sided (on Lee's and TenTen's part). It's possibly because I like Lee and TenTen together, since I do believe that they have a chance of being canon together than NejiTen and LeeSaku. You can see that Lee cares about TenTen more than Neji seems to in her match against Temari (he didn't even make a move to help her and merely observes), and I highly doubt that Sakura would suddenly show an interest for Lee in the Romantic sense, so I personally don't know why I mostly see NejiTen and LeeSaku fans more than LeeTen =_=;

I'm not a big shonen-ai/yaoi fan to being with. So seeing any of the Naruto males paired with each other doesn't settle with me all that much. There really isn't one pairing I hate all that much, but Naruto/Sasuke being anything more than best friends, I can't see. (i'm a sasukexsakura shipper...)

I do find Sai and Naruto amusing though. XD
