He is interesting. You have to admit it, without a character like Sasuke, Naruto would be pretty dull. A very large amount of the plot revolves around Sasuke... maybe even more than Naruto. Without Sasuke, Naruto would not have encountered the major villian, Orochimaru. Orochimaru crossed paths with Naruto because of Sasuke. You all say that the series is better off without Sasuke, but think about it, is it really so? Without Sasuke, Itachi will just be a random bad guy with absolutely no character development. It is Sasuke that connects many of the characters together. Besides, Masashi Kishimoto's favourite character IS Sasuke, so it's only natural that he portrays him in a way that makes people like him.

I'm a bit annoyed at this poll. Mostly due to the fact that Jiraiya and Chiyo >>>> Iruka/Tayaya/Genma/Hayate and yet they don't even rank. Not even Chouji appears! And the fact that Deidara ranks better than not only Sasori but Naruto. And the fact that Sasuke does nothing for an entire year and stays in first, but Naruto and Sakura have been running around and trying to save him and they drop places. (No hate towards Sasuke but that still is ironic)

The only piece of comfort I get is the fact that appearntly the Japanese forum-ers are actually getting pissed because they don't believe it reflects the true poplarity. >:O

I'm surprised to see what I consider relatively minor characters with such high numbers. Like Tenten, Hayate and Haku. Two of them are dead and we've only seen them for a very short time in the anime/manga. How do they become so popular if we've only seen them for a very little amount of time and we don't have much to base their character off.

For some reason I was mildly amused that Yondaime was in the top ten and Naruto happened to be number 4. Yeh. Small things amuse small minds and all that.

Sasuke's on top 'cause of his millions of already established fangirls I'm totli not one of them and the fact that these fangirls are brainwashing others into their cult with their contagious excitement and anxiousness for his return after so many chapters without him.

The hell, man. Okay, I'm a Sasuke fanatic *gets bricked* but it's such a shame that the main character, whose name is actually the title of the series itself, is only at number 4. Is Naruto that annoying-believe it-ttebayo? Sheesh. I shouldn't be shocked, but ahhhh, what the hell is up with that?!??!? This character popularity poll thingy is kinda frustrating. XD I wonder how Kishimoto reacted when he learned that his main character doesn't even make the top 3... XDDD
