Hinata's fate?
Jan. 26th, 2006 01:28 pmI'm just wondering:
Since Neji's father was the younger of the two, he was the one who was set aside into the branch house. However, that would also mean that Hanabi would also be set aside into the branch house eventually if she were not made heir. However, since Hanabi might be the heir of the Hyuuga house, does that mean that Hinata will one day have to be cursed? Either way you look at it, won't at least one of the sisters be cursed eventually?

or maybe there's some real-life system the Hyuugas follow that I am totally unaware of, which is likely

Date: 2006-01-27 05:52 am (UTC)If Hiashi (Hinata's father) was unable to produce a child, I think Neji would have become main family, which is why he was not branded until Hiashi's child had lived to three. That way the main family would definately have a successor. However just because there is a successor, does not mean more children in the main family would be tossed into the branch family. Since they are from the main family, they stay in the main family.
What I don't get is why EVERYONE isn't branded. Other than control, the purpose of the seal is to keep enemies from stealing their secrets if the person is killed.
