I'm pretty sure a (long) while back there was discussion of timeskip outfit colorations. I have a boyfriend who wants to cosplay timeskip Gaara, and was wondering if there was ever an offical coloration of said outfit?

there is an official colouring....but its the ugliest thing iv ever seen. the coat is a deep red while the vest is an ugly purple DX i dont know where the offical pic is but iv seen it many a times

The cover of volume 29 has colored Gaara.
You'll find it easily enough if you do an image search by "naruto 29".
Personally, though, I wish that the vest wasn't purple! T_T

Yes, and I guessed wrong on the colors for my Doll. Who would have thought it was red? Red and the vest looks blue to me?

I think it so makes more sense, to have it dark brown or black even. And have the vest a tan or white. GRRR.

He lives in the desert where their is brown, black and tan.

Sorry, Mildly annoyed that I will have to have his outfit made again for me and it cost more then full sized Cosplay outfits. I will make almost everythign for my dolls but not this outfit. Too complicated when it gets that small.

I don't think anyone was expecting the colors that Kishimoto chose (even though all of his previous outfits were red). All the Kazekage Gaara cosply pictures I've seen feature black and white color scheme. I agree that brown, black & tan color scheme would look good... or, at least, even just changng the vest white or tan (or something in between) would be better! It would compliment his hair so nicely, too.

I know that there's a lot of time before this will get animated, but I'm hoping that the animators will re-color Gaara as they did with Haku.

Best of lucks with your Gaara doll's outfit if you're going to make it! The one you have now is pretty awesome, by the way.

I think the red looks all right. And the vest looks more like a dark gray to me, with a slight hint of blue. Like slate gray? But I really don't think it looks too bad.

It's a little too much red for me, but I suppose I'll get used to it.
Now that I look at it again, I guess it does look like gray. Blue vest with red coat wouldn't give the eye a chance to rest...
