We all know that they've been running these fillers for all of the fall and winter so that they can let the manga get farther ahead so that the anime won't catch up for a while. But, does anyone feel that, even though it's been more then a year since the time jump in the manga, I feel like not that much has happened. The pace of it can't translate to more then 15 or so episodes (at the most? They can't stretch alot of it. I can't see the 12 chapter fight being more then two episodes.) not including the gaiden. I don't know, I'm just really worried about what's going on with the pacing. And thus, how quickly it's going to be running out of material, and back to filler.

they could extend some of gaaras and deidaras fight. or even show the sand nins get theyre asses kicked. Somethign will come up. More fillers would just destroy it

I hope they don't do what FMA did. They alternated the story line on the anime half-way through and took a shortcut and ended it quickly, while the manga is much different and is still in progress...

i dont think thatll happen. naruto cant really go off track unlike FMA. If anything it would have happened int eh beggening like black cat.

FMA was a completely different case- the anime set out to create a completely different story. They took the material they had a worked with it to create something independent of the manga, but still part of the epic of FMA. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing since many fans (including this one) like the anime better. ^___^;; Sorry, I always feel the need to stand up for the oft criticized FMA anime.

What could happen with Naruto would be comprable to what happened with Inu-Yasha. From what I've heard, they branched off from the manga after they caught up to it and created their own arc which was inferior to Takahashi's original work and then the show got canned. I could be wrong, but either way that would be the worst case scenario with Naruto.

But I doubt that will ever happen. For every impatient fan, there's another fan who enjoys the filler as much as they do the actual storyline (believe me, I know a few of them. -___-;;)

I don't know, the anime crew are geniuses at drawing out fights longer than needed. That 12 chapter fight could be 24 episodes of "DON'T MAKE ME USE THAT JUTSU!" XD

Think Dragon Ball Z. I STILL remember that fight that was about some planet that was going to blow up in 5 minutes.. and it lasted like 3 episodes. >_>

Either that or they will add random flashbacks to make the episodes longer (they seem to like to do that @ . @) I hope they don't though... I'd just like to see Some progress ^^

Yes, fillers are unloved. Still, I'd rather choose the fillers over the possiblity of the anime storyboard making up its own plotline like what happened in the FMA and Mankin anime. :/

4 fights weren't shown; the clone fights, Gai's team's fights. They could certainly aninmate those and lengthen aniomation of manga storyline without deviating from it. I suppose they could eleborate on Sasori's backstory too. I would be keen. ^_^

Add filler material in between is the best bet. Animate the NejivrsNeji, GaivrsGai, LeevrsLee, HeatherTentenvrs.Tenten. Maybe add on the Gaiden with extra missions. Throw in a couple of by chance happenings while Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi, and Temari are making their three days way to Suna. Keep them longer in Suna, ect. I can see it going for an entire season, Part I was about the same length as the Wave Country arc. (BTW- I'm pretty sure the longest fight in part I was 9 chapters).

But I can see where you are coming from, the manga is only one season before them, it's only a matter of time until the anime catches up again.

I'd love to see more of the gaiden to elaborate on the relationship between Kakashi, Obito, and Rin. That way there's more of an impact when Obito dies (woo for more angst!).
