Hi, long-time lurker here with an important question for you guys. Some time ago, I vowed not to watch the filler episodes and not to read the Manga either. Well, several months later my brain is suffering from extreme symptoms of Naruto withdrawl and I'm about to break down and download myself some fillery goodness. This brings up an important question: Which filler episodes should I watch? I've heard that some are good and others are absolutely horrible, and I feel like watching the bad ones will just make me want to cry in a corner. Any advice on which filler arcs are good and which are bad? Thanks in advance!

The most recent filler with Anko was pretty good (though I'm iffy about the fish people, it does build on a certain discovery about Oro in a recent manga chapter). I only started watching it with the crazy wild-west-ish one (was that one any good, I don't know O.o)

The newest set of fillers with Anko is about the only one I've found remotely interesting so far.

The Anko fillers-- episode 169 to 173. It's the best filler, which isn't saying much XD; but still.

my advice.... stop being so emo about anime.... its just anime *gosh*

lol im just kidding i know what you mean... i was a bit wary of watching them too but then i broke down while waiting for the new one plus the excitement of the first volume of the dubs coming out next month..... i just couldnt hold it in anymore. yeah 101 is definately my favorite as [livejournal.com profile] flyingcucumber said above... it is in the words of the immortal Peter Griffin, "freakin' sweet!"

the bug filler arc was crap in content, but it was good because you go to see shino and all his goodness.

He should definately be a chuunin, its a shame he didnt get a chance to show himself.

Not as "smart" as shika, but still really smart, heaps of good moves, mostly with his bugs, and heaps knowledgable about histroy, landscape, bugs and ninja stuff.
