Naruto Chapter 299 discussion :O



Well, the question of "Is that really Sai hanging from the tree?" is answered.

I am very, very glad that Naruto was told what happened. I think it's a smart decision. And Yamato handled really well, I mean, he told Naruto he had hurt the girl he likes, but he manages to not make Naruto freak out too much by encouraging him and telling him he doesn't need the Kyuubi to be strong. That was lovely, Yamato. :D I think that it's a good thing to do, to seal the Kyuubi, since as we can see, Naruto barely has any control of it. He's proven to be strong without previously, as well.

I think Orochimaru and Kabuta are underestimating Sai. I think he's way stronger than he lets on, and I still find it weird that he says he has no emotion. There's something odd about him(OBVIOUSLY), and I hope it's something mind blowing and interesting. :D

Any idea what Sai's book is about?

I actually thought Sai was either gonna be a bunshin or a kawarimi with an explosive tag and Yamatou's bunshin was gonna get blown away and then the real him with the other guys would report to them what just happened. It turned out much differently than I thought. Kishimoto is taking such a very unique road now with Naruto and sticking more to the unpredictable, along with the politics and mystery... I LOVE it... though when we discover about Sai's past which we know we are right about now, it better be a sad sad story like the rest of Kishimoto's fabulous work that actually made ME cry of all people. I crave the tears, and only Kishimoto and Watsuki's work has done that to me.

In the book... I believe there are images of his past played out as a story that will have some crazy answers as to who he is, along with plans and/or notes about Danzou's 'mission'. I believe Sai holds a Bijuu in him, and that he is a Jinchuuriku. I've stood by it since around the time of Sai's first appearance and still do. I think they may possibly discover that in images as well. I mean... the best way to contain a Bijuu would to infact... become as emotionless as he is, right?

Yamatou's speach was incredible to Naruto... and I am surprised there weren't really too many tears and too much anger on Naruto's part. He had such an understanding to Yamatou's words... as if he was calmed.

I think Yamato's words DID ease Naruto. I don't think Naruto actually likes turning into the Kyuubi and not remembering what happens. He's hurt Sakura already, who knows what else he could do. He's aware that he has very little control over it, and being assured that he will still be strong without the Kyuubi is for him(I think), soothing. He still wants to bring Sasuke back.

I somehow doubt that Danzou's plans are written down on there. It would be a stupid thing to do, as anyone could lay their hands on it and find out. :O

i think that perhaps...the sai bunshin that was in the noose may indeed be sasuke...

i'm only guessing that because

a. it would be a major twist and kishi-chan sure loves those

b. it'll be chapter 300 which was what many fans predicted sasuke will reappear
