Question dealing with yamoto

So rereading chapters 280 and up I came across something i forgot about. The anbu from ROOT who gave Sai his mission and that Anbus mask in yamoto hands chapters later at the hot spring. So my little question that may result in many is this.

Was yamoto the anbu that delivered the mission to sai and If so will we be expecting another twist in the story

Or

Did he stop/captured that anbu and is just holding onto the mask

Nah he was looking in Sai's bag... and he found the ANBU mask in there... ^^" That's how I understood it...

That was a random ANBU, and according to how the story's going so far when you think about that other ANBU guy, there's more than just Danzou involved in this secret mission. My assumption is that Danzou has men inside Konohagakure ready for attack within the village, and that ROOT ANBU you saw was one of them... and I believe Sai let Orochimaru aware of this, probably telling him that he needs more men. I think it's probably a bunch of angry ROOT ninja and the Sound-nin Orochi has at the time who will eventually attack the village first from within, and then from the outside. I am lso concerned about how Akatsuki will play their role in this new story. I seriously think Sai's a Jinchuuriki and Akatsuki will probably go after him and Naruto... maybe during a war. Who knows? I'd like to see it though. All I really have my money on is that there will be a planned attack from within Konohagakure.

That's actually quite a good idea...While the Konoha ninja are focused on the attack from within, Orochimaru begins an attack from without, completely confusing and trapping good Konoha ninja.

Exactly my point. I see Konoha in ruins soon. Even Hokage-sama knows for a fact there will be an attack, and I think it's about to happen.

Definitely. I'd love to see all this. The only thing I can't assume on is Sasuke. I have absolutely no idea how he may even be introduced soon. There are no hints about anything about Sasuke except he was stronger than Naruto's 4-tails transformation, regarding Orochimaru's comment.

I don't think it's a question of "good" or "bad" ninja - more Danzou- or Tsunade-supporting ninja.

I don't think it was Yamato simply because random roots ANBU man had completely different hair.

And yeah, I agree with the looking in Sai's bag thing.
