Theorizing time!

Oh my, the internet hasn't died yet. Amazed, I am.

Anyway, I have theoriezzz that are spoilerific under the cut:

Anyway, in the last chapter (or was it 298?) I think Yamato was spot on about Danzou wanting to crush Konoha with Orochimaru's help. However, surely there's a little bit more to Danzou's plan than just getting Oro-sama's assistance. I'm sure it's all a political game. Somehow, he's going to make himself (or some subordinate) a desirable leader for the village.

Perhaps this is the rest of Danzou's plan:

Scenario 1 - Count on Orochimaru killing Tsunade, and then (either he or a subordinate) kills Orochimaru. Thus, he's avenged the hokage, blah blah...

Scenario 2 - In the confusion of the Sound village attack, have one of the Root ANBU assassinate Tsunade (and possibly Jiraiya as well) and then he (or a subordinate) kills Orochimaru in order to come out looking like the "hero" and the "good leader." Boom. Instant Hokage.

I'm more for my second scenario because surely Danzou knows that both Tsunade and Jiraiya are on par with Orochimaru and would fight him, and that they even have a good chance at beating him. That's not good for Danzou because Tsunade would come out of it as the village hero and he'd be back in the shadows with his bandages.

...And then Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke can go all cliche-kung-fu-movie and be like "YOU KEEL'D MY MASTER/SENSEI/ETC!!!!!!"

So yay. I'm not fangirling over Sasuke. SEE? I do think about other things. >.>

Danzou's just an idiot to ask for Orochimaru's help.

Orochimaru's gonna play him like a well tuned violin, duh. He has no use for the Leaf- if he does decide to help Danzou, it won't be for Danzou's sake. And Danzou can bet the raw end of that deal will NOT involve him sitting at the head of Konoha alive and well.

If you need help achieving X goal, an evil genius is the last person to go to.

then Sakura, Naruto, and Sasuke go all whipping out Katsuyu, Gamabunta, and Manda and Danzou's's all "shit! I thought I just killed the sannin!"
neh, Tsunade can't die for a few more years if Naru-chan is going to be Rokudaime. And Orochi has to be killed by either Jaraiya and Tsunade, Sasuke, Naruto, or (the original) Team 7 together. (as they whip out their summons on his ass. (Orochi's like "Shit! I thought I was a sannin!" Manda would be more than pleased to eat him, I think.=)

Danzou might try though. Bastard!
