I don't know if you guys remember my Naruto calendar illustrations post from about a week ago. Anyway, here's my newest drawing. ^_^

This is my illustration for the month of September because I couldn't really think of a particular theme for the month. This was based on a Ragnarok Online image of an assassin. It just got stuck in my mind, and I found myself sketching an ANBU Kakashi version of that illustration. And that's how I ended up with this. ^^;

ANBU 'Kashi always wins! He made the first Naruto movie worth watching. XD

I don't do anything special... I just sketch really, really lightly with a mechanical pencil - the sketch lines come out much cleaner and are easier to erase. Then I just tough it out with my 0.1 UniPin and a lot of patience. I do my best to place my lines well and I try not to break my strokes so it doesn't end up looking sketchy. ^_^

It's the paper grain. I tried a different rendering technique with this one... Instead of scanning in the line art or inking it digitally like I normally do, I took a picture of that page in my sketchbook and colored it using Photoshop. ^_^
