Question...

At their little 'meeting' after the Sasuke vs Naruto fight, the Akatsuki mentioned that they "only have three years left" to complete their missions. Does this have any correlation to Orochimaru taking over Sasuke's body? (And I know a few people mentioned they weren't as much of a threat because they were taking their time, but apparently they're not.)

I actually don't think they said that they have 3 years left... but that they will wait 3 years or something... That's what I have in my head... *checks*

Nope. Deidara says something along the lines of 'san nen ga nee zo' ....nothing about waiting. ^^ Then he asks "can we all complete our missions?"

they have to get to orochimaru within the 3 year period no matter what cuz then he'll have sharingan and might become a threat to itachi, who is probably known as the strongest ninja in my eyes. imagine orochimaru with a snake-eyed mangekyou sharingan? we couldnt have that! he'd be uncontrollable even for akatsuki, including since with his typical sharingan he can copy jutsu MUCH quicker rather than tormenting his body with science after time. i mean... as far as we know, sasuke has not obtained mangekyou, but eventually, wether sasuke or oro has it, mangekyou will come.

christ... i wanna see a crazy battle between sasuke and itachi so bad.

i dont think they have to... i just think its what they planned on. who knows what they want with peoples bijuu's yaknow? according to fact and myth, they would embed the bijuu into someone and use it for power like naruto or gaara. each bijuu supposedly has its own special incarnation. they probably want to make it easier to kill orochimaru if they wanted i guess.
