Are you a boy or girl? Because remember, male ANBU wear their tatoos on the left arm and female ANBU wear theirs on the left. ^^ If you look at the two concept scans you'll see.

As far as I can tell, everyone wears it on their right arm. And I'm staring hard at the scans right now.

Er... nevermind..

Everyone in the BLUE drawings wear them on the right arm, and everyone in the PURPLE drawings wear them on the left.

Obviously the character designers are having trouble staying consistent, but I don't think it really matters in terms of cosplay...

no, its Kishimoto's design. But, as you can see, everyone in the blue drawings is female and in the purple they're male XP

It probably doesn't matter in cosplay because no one knows this little factoid. But its cool to know ^_^
