I come with questions/requests :D

While rewatching Spirited Away, I noticed that there is a flag that has the same Kanji than the one Jiraiya has on his headband. It made me really curious about it's meaning, and since I suck at researching kanji, I still haven't found what it means :P Anyone know?

Lastly, I've been looking for scans of the 2005 Naruto Calendar. I've found the 2004 and 2006 ones, but I'm looking for a specific picture: the one used in the second wallpaper of this page. I was also wondering where images like the one in the first wallpaper could be found. In galleries it's mostly screencaptures, but I would like to have 'official' pictures, from magazines or others. The type that the FMA fandom has hundreds of. :P

Thanks!

According to all-wise Wikipedia, the kanji is that for "oil".

...*shrugs* Again, according to Wiki, it has to do with frog oil.

Coz he hangs out with toads, who are supposed to have special oil or something - at least, that's my guess.

There is some Japanese myth about monks who stole oil, so they become some sort of spirit that is typically portrayed as being rather silly. I don't know if there is any connection to Jiraiya, but still.

I'm not much help for either of your questions, but...

You say you've found scans of the 2004 and 2006 calenders? Erm. Care to share for those of us who can never find _anything_ they're looking for? XD; *hit*

That kanji is read "abura" or "oil." At first I thought it was sake, but my memory was wrong.

Even so, wikipedia is not a real encyclopedia, as anyone can put any kind of information that they want up on it, and it's not checked to verify that the information is correct.

Whenever you want in-depth, detailed information about Naruto, leafninja.com is the best, most reliable place to go. Go to the "markings guide" (or click here (http://leafninja.com/symbols.php)) and scroll down until you see the symbol you're looking for.

As for the picture of Sasuke and Naruto on leaves, I have this (http://community.livejournal.com/chuunin/1790280.html) stored in my memories, because someone else had asked for it a long time ago. Scroll down a little bit, and you can't miss it.
I remember seeing the entire batch of calendar arts, but now I can't find it. I don't think I've seen the Tsunade & Naruto picture before, though.

Ack, Nevermind! I just realized that the second link I gave you is the same one that you posted. I thought it was a different one. Well, that was incredibly dumb of me. >_< <>

It's oil. It's the same character in Chinese.
