well it's been far long since my pokemon phase, but this crack idea suddenly came up.

if naruto characters had pokemon:
(i'm mosly just familiar with the "old school" ones, i.e. 1 to 151)

Naruto - Ninetails (doh!)
Sasuke - Pikachu (chidori?)
Sakura - Magikarp (pretty much useless, but freakishly strong when evolved!) or Chansey (see Tsunade)

Kiba - Growlithe (puppy!)
Shino - Venomoth (any bug-type, really)
Hinata - Jigglypuff (kind, and well sounds like the type she'd choose anyway)

Shikamaru - Snorlax (need i explain?)
Chouji - Butterfree (of course!)
Ino - Hypno (similar powers?)

Neji - Mewtwo (seriously I can't think of one for this guy)
Lee - Hitmonlee (taijutsu!)
Tenten - Goldeen (dunno, graceful attacker?)

Gaara - Sandshrew (another sand monster)
Kankuro - Mr Mime (puppety enough)
Temari - Pidgeot (slicing winds?)

Jiraiya - Poliwrath (giant froggy creature)
Tsunade - Chansey (healing powers)
Orochimaru - Arbok (big snake, doh)

Kabuto - Kabuto (just because)

any more ideas?

Kadabra or Noctowl might work with Neji too, I think. The Byakugan kinda works the same as the Foresight, ne? =o

Pikachu or Raichu might work more for Kakashi as chidori was his original move and all that jazz. Yondy too as he was known as the Konoha Yellow Flash :D

Considering where the manga's been going as of late...I'd consider Sasuke an Eskans right now. They can evolve into Arbok and all that.

Hinata might also choose Clefairy or Togepi too. :3;;

Foresight's the move that Noctowl and Hoothoot use to see ghosts. It lets them identify and actually see the ghosts even if they're invisible and attack. Now that I've actually gone through what it does, it kind of sounds more like a sharingan, but with the way Neji can see the chakra nodes and whatnot, which are invisible to even the sharingan... yeah :3 It fits.

I didn't mean actual looks, I meant the direction the manga's taking. Sasuke's gone to Oro to obtain power. He has Oro's seal on him. He could very much end up becoming like Oro just like Naruto and Sakura have become much like Jiraya and Tsunade. :3

aargh, new pokemon! not that i don't like them. i did play the new versions, but i could not remember them all. i can recall smeargol, good choice.

i had the same idea for kimimaro too (actually it was cubone). then jigglypuff for tayuya, but they don't click.
