I don't know if this has been talked about here or not, but here goes.

Realistically speaking, how do you think Kishimoto-san will end the Naruto saga? Excluding the yaoi fangirl's dream of having Sasuke and Naruto boink each other senseless, I want to know what you see in store for the characters or what happens to Konoha when 'THE END' is written on the last page of the manga.

Let's hear your thoughts! ^^

P.S: When do you think Kishimoto-san should end the saga? Nothing kills a fanbase like a series that runs till eternity. -__-

Personnaly, I think the serie would end when Naruto either is killed or become Hokage.

I guess that would be the perfect ending. Naruto as Hokage and all......but yet a part of me doesn't want him to become one. It would seem too...predictable I guess.

Babies? Ew. Mpreg makes my heart sad. Boinking? Hell yes. Babies? No. There's het for that kind of stuff. Don't assume that we all think alike, kaaaay? ^.~

Anyhow the story is, ideally (meaning conventionally), going to end like this -- Something bad happens to Konoha, Sasuke is redeemed somehow, Naruto becomes Hokage, Sakura kicks more ass... the Sannin all die and Team 7 takes their place.

But Kishi can throw a wrench into it. I just hope the series doesn't turn into a wild-Sasuke duck goose chase. Because I really believe that he'll escape Oro but Naruto and Sakura will continue to follow him.

I think Oro's end is coming soon, but it'll take a little while longer to deal with Akatsuki, but I don't see him introducing any more dangerous villians afterwards.

Unfortunately...? I can see the series ending with Naruto and Sakura STILL chasing after Sasuke - or one of them, probably Naruto. It'll be all melancholy and hopeful at the same time.

Quite clearly the series ends when Akatsuki have all their jinchuuriki and Orochimaru is God of the Universe. The happy ending in other words. ^-^ Oh, and I suppose Danzou can be Hokage. I am feeling generous to him.

Oh, ugh. Danzou? We're definitely going to need to have some Akatsuki showdown, regardless, if you will pardon the termage. Sasuke and Itachi are going to have to fight again, and who knows how long it'll take to get to that point.

I think Naruto's going to get what he wants: Hokage. And, to throw a relationship in there [Not because I'm all OMGRELATIONSHIPSYAY, but because I just don't see any sort of series ending without some sort of established relationship].. Naruto/Sakura. He's the namesake, he's going to get everything he wants. That just wraps it up in a nice little package.

I think Sasuke's going to die, somehow. I haven't really put much thought into it.. Maybe he'll actually kill his brother, but, like, something will happen with one of his subordinates or something and they'll both die.. because that'd be dramatic. Yeah. If he doesn't die, he's just going to be alone, meaning: Not in a relationship. Much as I would love to see SasuIno, we all know Sasuke isn't going to end up with anyone.

I'm quite certain that it'll end with like.. a peaceful Konoha. Though, I really, really forsee a major character death, to kinda give that.. bittersweet peacefulness to it.

As for when it should end.. I don't know. I really hope that the anime doesn't end like some others do: "If you want to see what happens, please buy the manga!" ...that'd really anger me. e.e; I want to see all of it animated. :/ I didn't put in a year of filler-watching to see "Buy the manga to see what happens next!" in the middle of the series.

Wow, so many predict the Sasuke death. Why??? Personally, I'd rather not see him die, but then again, I don't want him being all sappy and going 'I'm sorry for what I did and I shall change my ways and become a happy-go-lucky guy now' That wouldn't be...well...Sasuke.

You know what? At the rate the filler episodes are going, I wouldn't be surprised if that really does happen.

You mean like the very very end? I honestly think Naruto will die ;__; No matter how depressing it seems, thats just how it all looks to me. Now *rolls up sleeves* prepare yourself for ranting XD

Reasons:

1. If you've read the recent manga you will know how Jiraiya was explaining that The Kyuubi chakra inflicts a lot of damage on Naruto, and then after he calms down he heals very quickly also due to Kyuubi. But Jiraiya also mentions that causing so much damage and then healing so quickly causes a lot of strain on the body and will shorten his life and it's only a matter of time until his body will shut down and Naruto will die.

2. Do you remember at the VERY beginning of the series when Kakashi was testing cell 7 and Naruto was tied to the log? Yes? Well then do you remember when Kakashi pointed out the memorial stone where all the names of ninjas who died on duty, and Naruto foolishly shouted that he promised to have his name on there as well? That is a pretty big sign! >__>

3. Tsunade. We all know Tsunade's bad luck streak. She gives her younger brother the Hokage necklace and kisses his forhead: he dies. She gives her boyfriend the Hokage necklace and kisses him on the forehead: he dies. And then she also gave Naruto the Hokage necklace and kissed him on the forehead: HE'S GOING TO DIE DDX

4. History always seems to repeat itself. Like the whole Kakashi arc, and how Kakashi is like Sasuke, Obito is like Naruto, and Rin is like Sakura. Well.... Yeah Obito died DX And if history repeats itself like it always does in manga D: Naruto will probably be pushing daisies as well.


And then I think... Sasuke and Naruto will fight. Naruto, using his mysterious ways will convince Sasuke to come home because he has people who truly care for him there ;__; But before that, Naruto will go crazy and Kyuubi once again, go to some crazy tail level thing while battling Sasuke and later come to his senses, he'll save Naruto from doing something like unleashing Kyuubi out on people, then Naruto's body will shut down and say something heartbreaking to Sasuke and DIE IN HIS ARMS!! ♥ *fangirly romanticism*

And then because being Hokage was his dream the people of Konoha are going to do another heart-breaking thing and add Naruto's face to the big Hokage rock wall thingy. Because being Hokage was his dream, and the least they can do is add his face there because he's done SO MUCH for everybody and people will see him as a hero!! At long last DX

and then it'll say "THE END"

and havoc will ensue.

But! Because Kishimoto has this weird distaste for character death (as we've seen so many time before) I could be guessing in the totally wrong direction and YEAH! 8D POSITIVE THINKING! ♥♥
Naruto will get Sasuke and bring him back and the shall boink each other senseless until they're old and gray and it just borderlines disturbing ♥ But this is what incesty babies are for!

As for Naruto dying, let's see:

1. THAT is the only plausible excuse for his death, IF it does happen. Jiraiya's warning did have me worried and I knew that at the rate Naruto's going, he really is cutting down his lifespan. :(

2. Mangakas can change storylines faster than you can say 'Kyuubi' *lol* I wonder if Kishimoto san goes back to read earlier chapters and gasps at some error he shouldn't have made.

3. Poor Tsunade, but I doubt Naruto will die from her 'Kiss of Death' XD He's strong enough to overcome that curse. ^_~

I wish I had something crackish and witty to say here, but I really don't, so I'm going to lay down my opinion.

Well... I'd personally have to say, "somewhat soon," but I don't have a specific time. We know that the following still has to happen before any type of conclusion:
-Current/Pending fight between Oro-gang and NayrutoCO. Specifically the reuniting of Sauceghey and Nayruto.
-(predicted outcome) Draw. Naruto returns to Konoha empty handed.
-Sometime Sasuke needs to finally eliminate Itachi (though none of us really wish for this to happen; we all know who the more deserving Uchiha is). This will also be the showdown of Kisame and various leaf ninja, and as some predict, Gai's death (which will kill me inside).
-Sasuke's "break" from Orochimaru, because we all know that he only wanted the power and was not going to let Orochimaru take over his body. Possible help from NarutoCO.
-Death and/or return to Konoha by Uchiha Sasuke, and the process to gain back trust (just before he dies?).

...To say the least, this is going to take a while. Hopefully Kishimoto will be able to keep it flowing well without stopping short or going on for InuYasha too long.

Well, here's an answer to the question; I want it to end when there is a solid conclusion, though I doubt I'll get my ideal ending... T_T

Let me add an opinion shared by a friend of mine and myself.

Sasuke will never be truly happy, no matter what. He wasn't happy in childhood because Itachi was better, he's not happy now because Itachi is alive, and even once Itachi dies he will have spent his whole life like that...he still won't be happy. He has had a life goal; to kill his brother. That will be done, and he'll have a period of, "What's the point in my living now?" Of course, the clan revival thing. Sure, go get some girl knocked up. Can anyone here honestly see Sasuke falling in love with a female? Even if that happened, he'd be one cold bastard of a father.

All right. Say he does come back all peppy and ready to rebuild the clan.. With who? It's too late in the series to introduce a female character that Sasuke will take to (and have the fans accept it), and there is no current character that he would all of a sudden fall in love with. No, not Sakura, and not Ino. I don't know what they'll be going to fix that little situation.

Watch it be comppletely ironic; Itachi is killed by Sasuke, and then Sasuke ends up dying with no hidden or forgotten clan members, with only Kakashi left with the Sharingan legacy, which he can't even give to anyone else since it's not in his blood (maybe eye-implant after eye0implant?).

I love how my ramblings have no conclusion. I'm just kind of shooting off opinions.

I honestly think Itachi will die by some sort of accident. Like, falling off a cliff during battle or being cornered off by someone other than Sasuke. Sasuke will most likely die as well saving Naruto's or Sakura's life - thus saving his soul and ending the Uchiha line once and for all. I would really, really love it if he did not and instead he ended up with Sakura and they dined on rainbows and dew drops the rest of their existance but... unfortunately, I don't think its going to happen. If Kishimoto wants to make the ending "realistic" or at least.... pretty epic, anyways... it's going to end with the death of someone really important :(

Perhaps Jiraiya's death? That would be horrible. I would die myself if he died :( LOL but he is extremely close with Naruto, especially after the timeskip...

Perhaps Naruto will find out his family's history somewhat? That would be nice, not too harsh... LOL

Naruto and Sasuke will boing each other silly, adopt many a pretty child for a rememberance of both their lonliness and die old and grey in each other's arms in the chamber bed of the Hokage. XD Actually I'm completely joking.

I have no idea what to think of any sort of ending for Naruto. I can see a lot of different things happening. Naruto dying, as many people seem to think, either before or just barely after he becomes Hokage. If it's before, I can see Sakura carrying on his dream for him. Kakashi did make a comment tht she could be a better ninja than Tsunade.

With Sasuke, I honestly can't see him being readily accepted back into the village like nothing had happened. He willingly went in search of the person who killed the Sandaime and it nearly took the lives of those who had tried to "rescue" him (I put this in parenthesies because he left willingly; it's not a rescue in that case). He also nearly took the life of his own team member, something that is severely frowned upon in the shinobi clique.

Sasuke will have to redeem himself in some sort of Naruto-ish fashion involving big dramatics like protecting the village during an Akatsuki attack and sacrificing his revenge, which everyone and their dog knows about by now (haha I made a Kiba pun.. that was so not intentional), in place of protecting those precious to him. Then he'll make a speech to Itachi about how he's now above him and his stupid quest for power. He'll throw back Itachi's words, "I have absolutely no interest in you right now." That would be cool at least.

I'm hoping it will end with Akatsuki as the main antagonistic group. Whatever they're planning with the bijuu collection (gotta catch 'em all?), I'm betting that it's a threat to not just Konoha and the Country of Fire, but to every nation within the Naruto-verse. If defeating and pwning those guys is not enough to earn Naruto the Hokage name, I don't know what is. Oo Or at least a special memorial if he dies. I am voting against the Hokage rock monument. If they did that for every potential Hokage who died before realizing that dream, no matter how great a ninja they are, then there would be no mountain. Unless, right before he died, Tsunade declared him Hokage. That would be okay. Shortest reign in existance probably but still okay.

As for the rest of the characters and what they might have going on, I have no idea. I don't like thinking of any character's death =\ Not even Naruto's, though his is the easies to actually speculate.

I know Orochimaru has to die or else that story will never ever end >_>; He'll keep coming back and try to off everyone in Konohagakure and reminding me of that old song "Oh the snake cat came back the very next day..." So far, Kabuto's been loyal but I'm wondering if he'll finally snap and kill him right when he attemtps to switch bodies with Sasuke. "That's for cheating on me!" he'll cry. 'Twould be a very interesting plot twist and prove Kishimoto's theory of "you can have power but NO FRIENDS FOR YOU"

But Yeah. The whole Akatsuki bijuu collection... I think that might be another really good thing to look at that totally flew over my head XD;; It's probably gunna end up that Naruto is like the last one to get and stuff, and they will ALMOST NEARLY COMPLETE IT and have every one all 'Oh no! O:' And they will have nearly completely extracted the Kyuubi

But then somebody will jump in (Sasuke or Sakura or Gaara or Kakashi or every one all together) and be like "NARUTO YOU CAN FIGHT IT!" and he'll get a burst of his crazy exhuberance and break it all off and the Akatsuki will be all ".... curses! DX"

And they'll all get together and kick major Akatsuki ass O:

uhh this is going to seem crack but i think sasuke will die trying to kill itachi, naruto will die protecting the village similar to the 4th. the twist is that SAKURA has naruto's BABY. like and so she becomes hokage carrying on his dream and vowing to do a good job protecting the village, because she wasn't able to protect the ones she loved. and she carries on the 4th's bloodline. (assuming it's revealed he is yondaime's son)

Aww, man, I had a huge-ass comment and accidentally closed the window. Feck.

My first point is how much Akatsuki's appearance threw me off. Up until then, as far as I remember, it had been OROCHIMARUOROCHIMARUOROCHIMARU. Then we went OROCHIMARU-ITACHI-AKATSUKI-what? All of a sudden Orochimaru takes a back seat and we're following Akatsuki's evil plots. Granted, I haven't read past two ninety-eight or so. That's beside the point.

I see Orochimaru being defeated very soon. I don't think Kishimoto would cop-out and have him just die because of how sick he is. I mean, he has practically no arms - sure, he can use them, but it causes him a lot of pain - he has to switch bodies every three years, his henchmen, while they put up one hell of a fight, always end up getting beaten to a pulp in the end...I don't see Orochimaru having a place in the manga after Sasuke gets free. Please, don't make him like Naraku. Please please please.

Itachi. Itachi-man hates Orochimaru-man...they have a fight...*clears his throat* Sorry. Okay, so it's pretty well established that, as much as he uses his Mangekyo, he's going to go blind sooner or later, yes? And while Naruto is a hell of a fighter, he's pretty useless against genjutsu. If he got a lot more training in it, he might eventually have a chance, but personally, I don't think this would happen. Sasuke wouldn't allow it - he'd go into some sort of...oh, I dunno, Sasuke just wouldn't let Naruto finish off his brother. As to Itachi himself, his blindness would probably be the deciding factor in his death. To borrow the idea from someone else, during his fight with Sasuke, he could fall off a cliff (it would make me go 8D). I was thinking he might misjudge the proximity of one of Sasuke's attacks if he were blind, but even if he didn't have his sight, he would still be able to sense it, so that's out.

Now - Akatsuki. If I'm not mistaken, their main target right now is Naruto, given that they've gotten Shukaku (or did I totally dream that?). Even with Deidara's arms going woo-woo on him, they're still a formidable enemy. Of course, I think that Akatsuki will be the final enemy, with Suna and Konoha joining forces in order to defeat them.

Hokage? Of course Naruto will become Hokage. It's the main point of the manga. Granted, his reign may be short-lived, what with the Kyuubi and Tsunade's curse and the fact that he is a ninja, after all, who are notorious for dying early. Forget the fact that Sandaime lived for-freaking-ever and that Tsunade is over fifty - which reminds me, she is over fifty. Maybe she and Jiraiya will be the ones to kill Orochimaru...

That's what I think, and I completely forget where I was going with that. *tosses the thread back to whoever wants to catch it*

I have no real opinion because I don't form one when it comes to Kishimoto-sensei. You know why? Because he's so bloody unpredictable! He'll make us think he hates character death (ie: Sasuke and Gaara) then kill off the main character (all the Naruto-death foreshadowing) or vice versa! He gives us too many clues for both a happy or a sad ending. There's no way to tell! ;-;! Just hope he doesn't drag it too long and have it die like Inuyasha or Detective Conan because I know THAT doesn't end either...

And I want Team 7 to be intact by the end, ya know to PROVE history doesn't repeat, always. Because Kakashi's Team broke because of Obito's death and The Sannin's weren't strong enough together as team and Orochimaru thirsted for power. I want them to get Sasuke back and no real pairings in the Team because that would ruin the teamness. And the threesome! XD!

Hmmm...interesting question! I'm unfortunately going to keep this short because I have class tomorrow and should be attempting to sleep at the moment....

anyhow..I'm just going to sort of pull together some of the other theories I've read thus far that I agree with:

1) Orochimaru is going to be at his end soon...although personally I haven't really felt a lot of tension building up in the manga until this last chapter, 305. I'm not quite convinced that there is going to be a huge showdown in the next few installments. A great possibility, certainly, but I dunno, I just don't quite feel it yet. But in the near-ish future, Orochimaru will probably either be dead or severely defeated (personally I prefer dead...I'm not a huge fan of the guy...but there's few people in the series that I don't like)

2) Itachi will be killed by somebody other than Saskue. Granted, Sasuke won't like this a whole lot, but I feel that it would be a good thing if Kishimoto had it so that Sasuke didn't kill Itachi...or that Sasuke killed Itachi for a reason *other* than revenge. He could throw in some more insight into Itachi as a person before he bites the dust too...that'd be nice (introspective, whee!)

3) I would like to see Naruto make Hokage...I mean...I feel like if he *doesn't* make Hokage in the end, the entire story will be for almost nothing, because they make such a huge deal out of that being Naruto's ultimate goal. I do agree, however, that a lot of things point to Naruto's early demise, but I really hope that's not how it pans out. I like the idea that someone mentioned earlier about Team 7 eventually "replacing" the Sannin (only with Sasuke not permanently evil for all time) as the sort of leaders of Konoha.

As of yet I have no predictions about Akatsuki...I'm not entirely sure what to make of that ordeal (I didn't really pay that close attention when they were first introduced to be completely honest). But..la.

One thing I will say for Kishimoto is that for the most part I really like what he's done so far. I love the character dynamics and I love the story and I love his way of telling the story, so hopefully he won't let us down ^^

I think almost everyone will die killing each other, and it'll end with the youngest generation on the road to rebuilding again. I want to see hints that Konohamaru will one day make it to the seat of Hokage. He has the heart for it.

I don't know if this matters, but in some interview I read in Shonen Jump it was asked if Masashi knew how he wanted to end the series. He said he had the idea for what he wanted to happen-- And that he would need to make everything lead that way.. or something.

And I don't think you asked exactly how we would like it to end, but I'm just going to ramble because you didn't specify whether or not I was allowed to~

I personally find the idea that Sasuke and Naruto somehow ..er, lack better phrasing, die-- And Sakura is the last of the 'Second set of the legendary three' or whatnot, and ends up being some old lady telling the story of the blonde fox-cheeked boy and the ravenhaired Uchiha survivor.

That or some happy SasuNaru would suit my fancy.
