[Drabble] Rain
May. 15th, 2006 08:18 pmWritten for the drabble marathon in honor of Kanky's b-day. I'm new at this, so please tell me what you think. Feedback means a lot to me.
Title: Rain
Author: Sushi, the one and only.
Pairing: Kankurou/Kiba.
Rating: PG-13.
Word count: 181 words.
Warnings: Slight spoilers for the second manga arc.
Kankurou hated rain. He hated being a jounin. He hated his sister. Especially when she was sick and he had to go all the way to Konoha to replace her and do nothing but sign long, boring papers.
“Why the hell did she have to be sick today, huh?! It’s my birthday, for fuck’s sake!” Kankurou thought, kicking a random rock along the road.
Just when he was about to reach the Fire Country’s border, he felt movement in the bushes about three feet from him. Before he had time to unwrap Karasu from his back, though, a black-clad silhouette jumped him and he fell backwards. When he recovered from the shock and slowly opened his eyes, he was met by an intense feral glare, accompanied by a flash a canines.
“Kiba –” Kankurou began, suddenly cut off by a brutal kiss.
“I missed you, bastard…” Kiba purred close to his ear, casually lying on top of him in a warm embrace.
In the end, Kankurou was glad Temari got sick. He didn’t even mind the rain anymore.
