nice you got your own style, but i think you need to clean up your lines a bit. then the folds. be careful on the clothing, and give attention on the body movements. like, when one arm is away on the body, the cloth should pull over there. Also, do not forget the details. fix the collar. it should be straight. and naruto's face, when passive still possesses his smug face and bright, confident eyes. it was sasuke's eyes that has that kind of eye (though a bit more smoldering)
oops sorry, i turned my critic side on before i stop myself. Im very particular with on-model characters
1) the lines aren't clean because it's a sketch. o-o can't you tell by the looseness of the lines? 2) I don't see any problems with the folds; how much cloth pulls depends on the material and how much the material clings. If anything, some of the fold lines probably don't need to exist, but that wasn't what you were referring to. 3) it's a SKETCH 4) I don't like Naruto's collar so I drew this version. In my doujin I might not even draw him in this outfit... o-o gasp. 5) I'll give you that, since I've never drawn Naruto before, but it's not like I want to draw exactly like Kishimoto, if that's what you're implying. 6) "on-model" ?
maybe its because of the difference of my sketch against yours *shrug* i looked like more of a rough clean-up IMO. look at his stomach, hun. the zipper and all of them should not bunch like that. no, im not saying you should do it like kishimoto, more so like more.. naruto-ish in your own style ^^;
uhh, sorry animation has really rubbed off me on-model mean the drawing looks more in-character, something like that.
Ooh, I'm really liking this sketch. And I like your style, it's giving a different perspective on Naruto's portrayal.
Yeah, that collar thingy has kinda always bothered me too... drawing (or the absence of his previous collar) it this way, it kinda looks like a suit almost... anyway I like it.
And it seemed pretty obvious to me that this is more of a prelim sketch, but I think it looks like a great start! Can't wait to see more stuff from you... ^____^
