Has anyone made this connection?

The third Naruto movie is coming out in August (if I'm not mistaken). From pictures shown, this movie obviously takes place before the time jump. So, is it possible that we won't see time jump stuff until after this movie?

hmm. as the older movies were released, were they synchronous with the current episodes time-period-wise?

Well, I know older movies didn't have Sasuke after he left in anime canon... God, I hope this theory's wrong; I'd like the manga in anime form soon... Manga once a week isn't feeding my obsession enough. ^-^;;

The movies really have nothing to do with the timeline in the regular series.

Naruto left with Jiraiya to train right after Sasuke left, so he wouldn't have had time to do the mission in the second movie...

Yeah, but the canon in the anime is different. All the fillers happen before the time skip and those are a bunch of missions in between the Jiraiya talk/Sasuke leaving and the time skip... Silly anime, you're not canon, you just pretend to be. >>;;

That would be terrible... although now I have this sinking feeling they're going to wait until at least episode 200 before they start up with the canon (manga) storyline...
