Well, I'm just off to work, but something has been bothering me for a while now. Pretty much everyone figures that Orochimaru's going to die... but who do you think will be the one(s) to do it? And... why?

funny thing is, i was thinking about this just the other day- and it's gotta be jiraiya. or possibly a tag-team jiraiya/tsunade vs. oro <----- which i'd love to see another of!

the only other possibility i'd really accept or like to see is sasuke betraying orochimaru at the last minute and killing him. i can actually kinda see this happening, but i'd still like to see the whole Sannin thing out.

the sad thing is, i can also sortof see jiraiya/orochimaru/tsunade all killing each other off. that'd be sad, but fitting.

I don't know if Jiraiya even CAN beat Orochimaru. In The Tale of Gallant Jiraiya, the japanese folktale on which the Sannin are based, Jiraiya can beat Tsunade, but not Orochimaru, but Orochimaru can't beat Tsunade.

It's kinda of an interesting Rock-Paper-Scissors kind of thing.

I see what you mean with the sannin battle, but it makes me so sad :s I don't want to see Orochi and Jiraiya fight, it would be far too much like the SasuNaru fight x_x;


And if Sasuke killed Orochi I think it would be to... predictable :o

I just... wish Orochi wouldn't die at all :o

Mm, Sasuke will only do it if Kishimoto has run out of ideas... because that would be really predictable >.>

I think it would be really hard for Jiraiya to do it, because he stillcares about Orochimaru a bit... and it's sad :o

Well, the whole Sasuke betrayal thing would be just plain awesome; but it's also way too predictable if anything. Jiraiya doesn't sound bad, yet the legendary 3 wouldn't be the same, obviously - and still.

I don't think it's too bad of an idea to count Naruto out. After all, he's fought Orochimaru too, and it's only fair that he gets a shot at killing him (;.;)

WOOOAH, I never thought of that. XD When I saw this entry, I was thinking, "Hm... maybe Sasuke?" but Kabuto? THAT WOULD BE MADE OF SO MUCH AWESOME! OMG!!!

It is kind of suspicious how Kishimoto set up quite a few scenes where it seems Kabuto betrayed Orochimaru but actually didn't. It's like he's trying to make the part where he DOES betray Orochimaru (if he even does) seem more shocking. o__O; And Kabuto is pretty mysterious as is.

OMG! That would be awesome! Kabuto is just the low-profile powerful criminal that would betray Oro-sama. I can't remember well, but I think Orochimaru doesn't trust Kabuto, that means noone trusts him, so he has carte blanche to either act to protect Orochimaru or to stab him in the back... or in the front (he's so shameless that he would do it so) ^^.

Kabuto? Well, there is that option too ^^;;; Kinda a payback for ignoring him all these years :o It's possible, although I am a rabid oroKabu shipper and it would make me very sad, it's always an option.

Everything Kishimoto is doing seems... well, fanfic-y. I'll bet that's where he's getting all his 'new' ideas. He goes to FF.net, or AFF.net whichever, and pulls off ideas from fanfics. *nods enthusiastically* So all I have to do is keep reading the chapters and the smut will come, ne?

Myself, I would love to see the Akatsuki come by and trounce him, but that's lacking in the proper Naruto-style drama!ness, and they also don't seem to care about Orochimaru at all.

spazzlet said Kabuto, and that's a pretty awesome guess, but I think that Orochimaru will either have a big, drawn-out, dramatic death with lots of teamwork by Konoha nins OR a quick, sudden, unexpected death at the hands of either Sasuke, Naruto, or maybe Sakura please no, she can go kill someone else evil.

Yeah, the Akatsuki only seemed to care when it was the fact that because Orochimaru was gone it was harder to do chakra building things >.>; Poor Orochi, so underloved ; . ;

Kabuto is a pretty good guess... but I just hope he'll stay loyal to Oro-sama and then everything will be mansex-y good all right :D

I hope he gets a long dramatic death though. I love him and want to see him at least fighting back. If he has one of those '....wtf, is he.... dead? Deaths, I will weep ; . ; More then I am already going to, that is.

My theory? Itachi doesn't want the Sharingan falling into the wrong hands and will kill Orochimaru for trying to steal it.

I really like spazzlet's theory, it would be an exciting death for Oro-sama ^^, I would like to see then, some mednin torture (sorry, that was sadistic, but I just finished a book of the historuy of torture O_o). But still, I dunno if Kabuto has all the power required to defeat Orochimaru (so sad), so I must support other option: Tsunade (girl power!). I think we will all be delighted to see another fight of the Sannins (YAY!), the big one, very soon, because Orochimaru must die before he get to take Sasuke's body as container. So, as we have seen in the previous fight (as a Kishimoto constant - except with Kimi-kun - of showing an appetizer of the big battles before they happen), we will have a battle of enormous proportions; featuring the 3 Sannins first, and later, Tsunade and Orochimaru (as with the battle in which Sandaime was killed). Result: Both dead.

That's a really good theory, and I would also like to see a huge battle between the three of them, although the idea that Oro-sama is going to die makes me sad on the inside ; . ; I agree with you though, I totally think Tsunade has the ability. She did really well last time, so I think that if she wanted to she could do it. But ike Jiraiya, I think, that even after everything that's happened, she still cares about Orochimaru, simply because... once you've trusdted your life to someone and worked beside them for numerous years... it's hard to simply toss aside, even after something of the callibre with which Orochi did it happened.

Mm, they've known each other for almost 40 years.... I think it'll be hard for anything of them to kill each other. Even Orochi and his sociopathic tendencies.

Well, in the origional legend, the Yamato character was the one to kill him, but I don't know.
