chuunin_archiveI have a question. Answering the question is the key to my Naruto salvation. Or so I believe.
IsSasugay's Sasuke's like for tomatoes canon or fanon? I've barely started with the mangga and haven't seen the earlier episodes, so I'm completely clueless.
If it's canon, where does it say so?
If it's not, where did it come from? 'Coz I think he looks more like an eggplant sort of guy, hehe.
Oh, and are there any other people in the series who have - err - relationships with certain foods?

Besides, I read somewhere that tomatoes are good for the eyes and the skin; that's probably why he has such good skin (but then again, doesn't everyone in Naruto?) and why Orochimaru said his Sharingan has much more potential. It's all in the proper diet, man! hahaMaybe Itachi ought to eat more tomatoes.

Itachi is commonly associated with dango or sweets. I don't know if this is canon or fanon. It is not completely unfounded, however. When Itachi and Kisame made their appearance in Konoha, they were seen enjoying a cup of tea and some dango.
Well, and Chouji likes all sorts of food. But you already knew that. ^_^

Err... what's dango? I'm not very knowledgable regarding Jap culture. However, my crack-senses are tingling at the thought of sticky sweet stuff... Hmm.
Actually, I'm still waiting for even a mention of Chouji eating something healthy. I mean, I've heard of people who eat anything unhealthy. Is Choji like that, or is he one of the rare REALLY ANYTHING breed of anime non-dieters?

Apparently, she has sweet tooth -- she ate enough dango to make a complete a leaf pattern with the sticks alone! (It should be around chapter 49, or episode 29. Screenshots can be found at naruto-kun.com -> Naruto Picutres.)
With Akimichi clan's line of jutsu , it would be logical for Chouji to consume high-calorie, fattening foods. Baika no jutsu (multi-size technique) uses up lots of calorie, meaning Chouji is better off having a lot of "reserve" in stock. When Chouji is fighting or training, he's burning up calories fast. Remember, after rescue Sasuke arc, Chouji slimmed down for a while. There is no need for him to go on a special diet plan. He could eat "healthy" foods like beans and vegetables, but then he'd have to eat a lot more to gain weight.
Of course, in real life, eating a lot of fatty foods could lead to heart problems and such. But anime world is blissfully free from cholesterol.
