Hmmm. I have a question about Obito, and, as discussion may result in spoilers for the Kakashi Gaiden, I will wisely put it under a cut.



Ok, so maybe this has nothing to do with the plot of the Kakashi Gaiden, but... Yeah.

Where does Obito fit into the Uchiha family tree in relation to Sasuke? Or, because I'm not sure that an official answer was ever given, where do you think he would be?

I know its rather unfounded... but I always pictured him as Sasuke's dad's very younger cousin... you know kinda a supprise after the rest of the family is mostly grown up-type cousin...

it kinda increases the not really a part of things/ like the rest of the Uchiha feeling to me... (his generation was already grown, and the next was very young or not born/he was their 2nd cousin/uncle...)

it is completely out of the blue though so don't take me seriously.... ^_~

It's never revealed how Obito relates to Sasuke. The only things we do know are that they are from the same clan. u__u

As was said, we don't know how Obito is related to Sasuke, just that they are.

Before it comes up: Obito is definitely not Sasuke's sibling. Mikoto and Fugaku could not make a child with Obito's blood type, and Mikoto would've been about thirteen or fourteen when he was born.

Where do I think he would be? Hnn... I guess I just see him as some distant relative, with no noticeable connection to the head family. Clan lines can stretch way back, until people aren't even really sure how they're related anymore -- just that they are. Especially in big clans, like the Uchiha.

I always saw him as some first or second cousin. My mind probably came up with that due to the fact that he would of been around the same age as Itachi ususally in stories people are somehow connected within a few degrees of each other. I have also read A LOT of fanfics using him as a cousin. Again, nothing officialy just my mind making connections that are proably not there. lol

I'd always thought he was in someway more directly related to Shisui, sibling or cousin and more distantly related to Sasuke's direct line of family (what family, heh :/). In relation to Itachi and Sasuke, Obito, I think, would have been a cousin's (Shisui) cousin (which would be Obito).
