The famous 90-minute special... it's not the Kakashi Gaiden.
At the end of Naruto 200, there's the announcement... Naruto is moving to Thursdays and there's the "big moving special" titled: "The Decisive Battle of Love and Hate Between Teacher and Student! Jounin and Genin cut loose and go wild!"
There's some scenes on the background to prove it... that it's not the Gaiden.

The great student teacher battle might actually be a laugh. If not, watch something else. Naruto is not the only anime on the planet and there's a new manga chapter out every week which is cool.

When I get a new manga chapter (like 323) and there's a cool fight going on... the only thing I think about is "This fight will rock when animated!". Don't you?
I know it'll happen when it'll happen... it's the waiting that kills. And as the manga gets better... it's worse.

Date: 2006-09-15 10:16 pm (UTC)Many people thought the Gaiden (and there is no demonstrated plan they ever will animate it at all, besides the fact that it preceeded the timejump) when episode 200 approached. I wondered myself; 200 after all. But I really am not bothered; it's possible fillers will go on until WJs other new animes are bedded down (that'd be Death Note and DGrayman). Dunno how much influence that has.
Either way, I am not bothered. I'll watch anyway, as I am rather enjoying the show anyway. *shrug*

Date: 2006-09-15 10:36 pm (UTC)I'm dying to see Hidan-sama animated. It's going to be crazy with the new guys. It's just sad to see how the anime is being demolished by the fillers. Poor Naruto isn't all that great anymore over there in Japan. It'd be nice to have Naruto back at N°1 again. Rurouni Kenshin's anime was canceled because of low rating due to only 40 episodes of filler, and we never got to see the good part of the manga in the anime (well yeah, in the OVA but it wasn't the same). I fear that might happen to Naruto.
We have different opinions, hehe. Different tastes and different colors... I'll just keep on waiting for my time jump to come. Until then people will fuss and complain all they want and you will criticize all you want. It won't stop either.
