Ok, there have beeen something that has been bothering me for a while. The very first time we see Gai-sensei, he is preceded by a giant turtle, and it seemed to be a significant turtle, BUT THEN WE NEVER SEE IT AGAIN! Does any one know what that turtle is about?

I forgot! When I was writing this entry, I meant to ask two questions, but I forgot the second until now. Hinata's new jutsu of awesomeness was developed during filler. Does this mean that she didn't develop it in cannon manga? (if not that sucks because that made her go from cute, but useless, to cute and AWESOME!)

I say it is cannon. In order to make the anime series approval had to be given by the copyright holder. Approval = cannon.

Not necessarily. o_O; An 'approval' would just be an agreement between Kishimoto and Studio Perriot to air Naruto as an anime, not every part of the script.

Heh. I've seen people call Hinata's techinique 'overpowered.' The reason being is that A. It's absolute defence and B. It cut through iron (a kunai in half). And if memory serves me right, Naruto's Rasengan was only able to land a scratch on Sasuke's headband.

Oh, that wasn't his Rasengan. xD Naruto's Rasengan and Sasuke's Chidori cancelled out in a big bright explosion. Naruto just managed to scratch his headband with his Kyuubi-nails.

Actually, Naruto scratched Sasuke's headband before the Rasengan was 'cancelled out.'

OOOooh! Sorry for that mistake. XD The anime did it differently, hence why I started mixing things up. @.@ That's pretty interesting. But I'm guessing it only did a scratch because the power was almost cancelled out by then.

Actually, I remembered Naruto scratching Sasuke's headband on the anime, and I went and found the manga because I couldn't be bothered screencapping it. xP

1) Gai set it free into the wild! ... or .... something. It must be depressed.

2) Hinata's jutsu is totally filler. However, Kishimoto might rip the anime's idea. Even though this is more minor, the filler made up the grannie for Sasuke in the flashback episode, and later Kishimoto decided to put her in a later flashback in the manga. xD

I'm not sure, but I'd say the turtle is some kind of summon.
Having a turtle as Gai's summon would have two significant associations:
1. Ninja turtles. XD
2. The symbol of "hard worker." A turtle may be slow on land, but it works steadily to reach its goal... and when in water, a turtle is surprisingly fast!
