Winter Break: I rediscover fandom. Naruto is suspenseful and exciting again. Shippuuden is soon to air. All is well.

Then.

Orochimaru moves to live in Sasuke’s head. Sakura resumes status as a nonentity. Sasuke impersonates a piece of cardboard. Naruto founds the “Angsting for Sasuke” fanclub. The series is renamed Sasuke. I stop reading. People talk about gay porn, ninja kittens, and color blindness.

Head. Meet desk. I’m exiting left.

I agree with you completely about Sasuke. The fandom has gone completely out of control talking about the strangest things, and Kishi seems to have forgotten the title of his manga is NARUTO not SASUKE KING OF EMOS. Well Orochimaru's lover Kabuto is going after Sasuke. Wonderful.

But I'm sure fans love your contributions of wonderful graphics. :3

I'll be curious and come to read when the series ends. (Provided it doesn't go the way Inuyasha has. *shudders*)

At first, Naruto would spend so much time eating his own ramen that no one would go, but after Sakura beats some sense into him, he would eventually go on to become the best ramen shop owner in the entire Fire Country. And then he would build a huge ramen corporation, buy Konoha Village, and become Hokage that way. The wonders of capitalism never cease to amaze.

I always feel sorry for Sakura, because even after the timeskip, she will never be as important as either Naruto or Sasuke, much less the two of them combined. I don't know about you, but that just undermines the entire "Team 7 unity" thing they were going for, doesn't it?

Thank you. :D Every big fandom has its problems, so that hasn't bothered me too much. But I loved Naruto's character in the beginning, and to see so much of it go downhill... (Does anyone else miss when he was mischievous and kickass?)

Okay, I have nothing against you wanting to leave the fandom. Fine, that's cool. But why do you, a no-name fish in the giant sea of fandom, feel the need to bitch and whine to an entire community and proclaim "OMG IM LEAVING GAIZ"? This community has enough pointless criticism, so why do you feel the need to stir things up before you leave? Somewhat hypocritical, don't you think?
Ninja cats happened, if you'd bothered to do your research before saying innapropriate things. The colour discussion, I will admit, was irritating, but guess what you just stop reading it and be done with it. Gay porn is a part of any fandom, so get used to it.

Because while I'm not a BNF, have not posted 50+ posts, and did not accumulate a folder full of icon award banners, I invested time in this series. (See above post, bottom 5/6 portion.) I am genuinely frustrated with the direction this series is going, and I thought there were many valid points in my criticism. We may agree to disagree.

In the beginning, I told myself that they just couldn't take out a major villain in two chapters. It'd be going against everything the teachers taught in So You Want to be a Mangaka 101. But then nothing happened, and I suppose I've gotten tired of waiting.

I resisted getting into it for so long b/c of the hype

My friends also tried to pull me into it two years ago, but I was reluctant.

And when I did start reading, I realized that the series had no plot. :O But that was all right, because Naruto was the most kickass twelve-year-old ever, and I just knew his hyperactivity would never fail him. :D

And then stuff happened. *sobs*

It seems our Naruto experiences have been strangely similar.
