Is anybody else getting worried about the Akatsuki? 'Cause I am.  I mean, for the longest time we were like "OOOO AKATSUKI" and now... they're kinda dropping like flies. FLIES, MAN, FLIES!

They've kinda entered the realm of suck, if you know what I mean. And before you guys jump all over me, look deep within your hearts. YOU KNOW IT TO BE TRUE.

They also don't wear their hats anymore, has anybody else noticed?

I'm kinda hoping that Akatsuki have some sort of nifty revival technique or something. I mean, they somehow got Deidara his arms back, yeah? And his arms were smooshed into goo AND slurped into the void of no return. So, they have to have one, right? RIGHT?

Maybe that's why Kishimoto's killing them off, so we'll all be like "WOW!" when he brings them back. *futilely hopes*

The problem is a bunch of 15 year olds are the frontline against a bunch of S-Class missing-nins meaning these missing-nins have to be dumbed down LOOOOOOADS in order for the main characters to have any chance.

Sadly this will keep happening with every member, like it did with Hidan, Sasori and Kakuzu who all went out in very shitty and unsatisfactory ways. Deidara is already acting rather stupid in his current battle, despite the fact he's rather intelligent.

Basically: Naruto is going to get worse, worse than it already is at the moment, because Kishimoto is too afraid to kill off any of the kids but at the same doesn't want to have any of the older Chuunin or Jounin fight.

I miss the glory days of part one. :(

Kakashi became a jounin at what 12? I look at the Rookie Nine as legendary characters in training. I think it's cool we get to see their rise to fame. Naruto's team is intricately connected to not only the Sannin but also all of the previous Hokage's and even if Naruto and Sasuke aren't ranked higher than genin officially I'm sure they're probably more powerful than their chuunin peers already. Even Naruto mastered the Kage Bunshin at an early age which is mentioned to be a high ranking jutsu and what earned him a page in Konoha's directory of powerful nin (which wouldn't that basically be their own little bingo book? lol) Kishi could just go ahead and make everyone ANBU status but that would be kind of boring I think. Kakuzu and Hidan who were both killed off had their immortals arc so it doesn't seem all that different to me than Zabuza and Haku's water country arc.

I think we've basically established the point that the whole realm of Naruto has packed up and migrated to Sucksville. And that Kishimoto is colorblind.

I don't think Kishi is brilliant enough to somehow save them. Especially since Naruto went all "destroyeverythingftw?!" on Kakazu. And... Hidan's in a ditch somewhere. In Naraland. Being shit on by deer. D:

I know! What a let-down. I am going to throw SUCH a fit when the Naruto group actually captures Itachi. Notice I say 'when', not 'if'. ...SOB. I mean, WHAT THE HELL. Isn't this what the ANBU are for? What are THEY doing?!

Now, even as fangirls, we can't be stupid enough to think that the Akatsuki will win. It's not plausible. HOWEVER. We can hope that they come back and get more honorable deaths. Then everyone wins! The heroes defeated the villains, and the villains got their kickass deaths!

...I mean, Kishimoto has said that he's a fan of Toriyama right? And I remember, like, Cell and Freeza coming back about a million times...so...maybe there's hope? :D

Yeah, I mean, at the very least, I want a vague backstory! COUGH-Hidan-and-Kakuzu-COUGH. Come ON. Give us SOMETHING. Sure, Haku gets long backstory WITH monolog, but main villians Hidan and Kakuzu get NADA. Where is the justice gone?!

Well, we could skip ten years and then everyone could be ABNU and go on awesome missions and actually be qualified for them. And then they might even be old enough that we can worry about them getting killed!

I could understand if they were a tiny villiage without many sihnobi, but geeze, Konoha is the biggest village, when you have a bunch of high-level ninja hanging around, don't send out the rookie chuunin.

Uh I thought Tobi was wearing his little hat chappie before last? And I don't really get how just because three (dude Oro doesn't count) of them died they are dropping like flies. Kisame and Itachi have been around for ages now. I find it more lame when no matter what they are unkillable or always manage to get away. Though I'm really hoping Sasuke isn't able to pwn both Diedara and Tobi in the next chapter or two. :/ That would be too much for me.

Kakuzu isn't really dead! He had a spare noodle monster slinking around somewhere and reanimated him when those useless Konoha hunter-nins weren't looking and then he went and dug out Hidan (with lots of bitching) and then they went back to the Akatsuki hideout (Kakuzu carrying Hidan!parts in a sack) and rest up for a while then they're all "LET'S KILL THESE BITCHES. D<"

If this turns out to be true I will do a fucking huge Steven Colbert style I CALLED IT post. Also I will be very happy.

...well, with the rate Naruto has been going at lately, I don't think anyone should let him within ten feet of a new series idea, pole included or otherwise.

I miss the old Naruto. T_T Kishi's going on like he doesn't have time for it anymore, like he's preoccupied in the head. Maybe that's why he's been making mistakes all over the place.

I've always known, since I got interested in the majority of them, that Akatsuki isn't going to make it. There's the whole 'villain' thing, and also the fact that I like them, which, trust me, is deadly for characters. I'm down to hoping for backstory and time before the deaths occur.

Oh how I wish it wasn't true. I really do. But the Akatsuki are villans, which is basically a death sentance for the villianous characters (unless this is going to be like Rurouni Kenshin and they turn into wanderers. It is Kishimoto, so you never know). And as for the fact that experienced, sometimes immortal S-rank criminals getting taken out by a bunch of teenagers: Why Kishimoto?? Why are you making the Akatsuki reach a whole new level of suck???

Pft. Same thing kinda goes for the senseis, particularly Kakashi. He used to be so cool, and now he's starting to be portrayed as being just "an old man," with an occasional next-to-humiliating, derogatory comment thrown in from someone. Not cool, not cool at all. But that's the story for ya, I suppose. It's centered around the fifteen year olds. It's their time to blossom *is mauled*.

But I guess the only way that I could be satisfyed without asking for something too cracked out is that if they have spectacular deaths, like the one Deidara almost had (and NOT like Hidan's and Kakuzu's.) It upsets me, because I have a feeling Deidara's next on Kishimoto's hit list. I mean I agree with what one of the commenters said above, Deidara is very intelligent. We could see that with his Hudini that he pulled with Kakashi. And now lately he's just been so overconfident (yeah, didn't he just lecture Tobi on this?) I'm sitting here like "Either Deidara ate a big bowl of stupid for breakfast or he forgot to take his antipsychotic drugs this morning." and I should probably be shot in the foot for what I just said about him.

Well, hopefully Sasuke is not the one to kill him, otherwise I might have to catch the next plane to Japan and slap a bitch, because I'm just starting to sorta like him.

hmmn I had been enjoying all these happy endings (akatsuki getting killed) that I haven't noticed this thing. Maybe it's ok to think all of this is possible if a group of guys try and kill the bad guys. Just like with Hidan and Kakuzu, there were uhmm 2 groups of 4 right?! Plus at that time Shikamaru already knew how to kill deal with those two.

With Sasori, there's obasama. I'm not defending Kishi but I think they Akatsuki just got matched with the wrong person.

Well, according to last chapter, Tobi apparently can't die, or doesn't feel pain...(IMMORTAL AKATSUKI CONTROL? CALL SHIKAMARU!) or something's up with his weak funny ass. Deidara had his arm placed back on by Kakuzu before he died. Sasori was replaced by Tobi, and we lost Team Kakuzu/Hidan, so we really only lost 2 characters we never really knew of for too long anyway... plus they died by Shikamaru... well, Kakuzu got killed by Shikamaru, Naruto AND Kakashi lol. Took 3 people to kill his ass. Better match of shinobi than how Sasori was killed. I think Akatsuki is keeping its major powered shinobi in good condition by keeping them alive so far. Honestly, I think Deidara should be dead by now if Sasori and Kakuzu were wiped out... but I do have a sickening feeling that in the next few chapters... this is the end of Deidara. As for Tobi... I see him running the HELL away. It must be his Kekkai Genkai or something :\

At the risk of sounding a bit like an odd duck out…

I actually enjoyed the ways some of the Akatsuki members died. I think it was fitting for Hidan, as dark as his religion was, to be trapped in real darkness for all eternity. Not only did Shika destroy Hidan’s pride (in his immortality), but Shika also used his pride against him by sealing him forever. Dark poetic justice well done.

I also have no complaints on how Sasori died. I loved everything about this fight, and it’s easily one of my fav fights evar. In fact, since the episode names were announced a few weeks ago, a countdown to the start of this fight was created and covered in hearts doodles ^^;

Although, I must say… there was one death I didn’t quite enjoy, and that was Kakuzu’s death. It would have been better if the fight was more detailed, and not the whole ‘scene change again: zomg another heart died- when did this happen!?’ The fight was too stagnant. I kinda understand why it was; the focus, in the end, was on Shikamara’s character building. Ah well. Anyway, I thought it was cool how many hearts Kakashi killed with, virtually, no help. Actually, the lack of action and development with Choji and Ino pissed me off more than anything dealing with the Akatsuki so far.

However, I think I would be angry if Deidara didn’t go out with a huge, fucking artistic bang. I’m one of those people who are waiting for Sasuke to be taken down a few notches. I love Sasuke, really, but I just have a feeling that something huge is going to happen. His pride and overconfidence is going to be his downfall:(

I honestly don’t think we’ve seen the strongest in Akatsuki yet. Example: Kisame gave Gai a lot of problems with just 30% of his chakra the last time they fought. Therefore, I have hope that the future fights are going to be insane, and that’s what’s keeping me going :)

Two random things:
1) I see the rookie 9 + Gai's team as late developers. Their strength at 15 was their predecessors strength at 12. Maybe this is why Kakashi was all surprised by their sudden growth? He didn’t expect them to grow as much based on what they were like at 12.

2) I’m sure this was mentioned before by someone in the past, but does anyone else think the Sand’s 3rd Kage, whose body was never found, is the leader of Akatsuki?

If Kishimoto is following Toriyama's playbook to the letter, I'm wondering if:

a) the Akatsuki will indeed be revived for a frickin' Akatsuki vs. Konoha melee free-for-all (oooooh *__*)

b) (I'm gonna get so beat for this but--) whatever Akatsuki is left (I'm guessing Kisame, Itachi,...and TOBI just for shits and giggles, watch Kishi do it) is gonna have to fight alongside Konoha (gag) because of Leader-sama's Creepy Paperweight. For serious! Anyone remember? Piccolo? Vegeta? (HE made me cry with his switch to the Good ;___;) Android 16? Anyone? Bueller?

Hey, we still have Blue-Hair w/Flower Akatsuki yet to be revealed. :O
