Why? WHY doesn't the Naruto fandom love Sasori anymore? He was AWESOME!

Darn you fickle Naruto fans. I love how at the beginning, people were like, "EW! It's Sasori." *shudder* So, they paired Deidara with Itachi because we couldn't pair Deidara with the ugly-wierd-hump-with-no-legs-guy. And then Sasori was like, "BEHOLD. I am secretly a pretty boy in DISGUISE." *SMIRK* And the fangirls were like "EEEE! Sasori!* *HEART*

And then Sasori died. And the fandom was sad for about.... five seconds.  Basically, right up until we all realized that Tobi was Deidara's new partner. 

Fandom: ...Sasori! NOOOOOOOO--what's this? Tobi? .... *giggle*

Darn you guys. DARN YOU.

I support the Sasori love. Spread the love, folks, spread the love. Doesn't the pretty puppet boy derserve a fanbase? Yeees, I say! YES.

Remember how no one knew what his hair color was? Yeah, good times. XD

And c'mon, he's the only Akatsuki who got backstory before he died. Damn you, Kishi, give your characters backstory before you kill them.

I think the problem is that Sasori didn't really have the time to get much character development. His past consisted of... well, the same flashback pictures over and over again.
And that's why he's not that rememberable for the fandom... you can't really blame them for that.

First off, I was never a huge Sasori fan, I didn't hate him, but there wasn't anything I just *loved* about him either. And I wasn't sad at all when he left us. As someone said, we didn't get a lot of character development on Sasori; so I didn't feel any real attachment to him.

You may want to put your post under a cut though. Since people who aren't following the manga may not necessarily know that Sasori has died.

If anything, Kishi is good at marketing. He has a shounen series that he brought in a huge female fandom by including the "pretty boys." However, I like your point. He doesn't have to make every character a bishie (and they aren't always like that--Kisame being a good example of one.) Though I kind of agree, Hiruko!Sasori was a bit more interesting, in my eyes, too.

Sasori was awesome, but Kishimoto just tends to use all the Akatsuki as merely something to move the plot along. He likes to introduce them, have them do something important, and then kill them. It's as if they were villains for the filler characters, but they're not. I could've done with more Sasori-time too. Hiruko was really freaking awesome, and I would've liked to see more fights in it where he didn't just whip the tail around. Kishimoto is great at designing really rad traditional artwork type things in his characters and backgrounds, and Sasori's puppets had a whole lot of potential. I guess that just leaves it to us to come up with these things neh? ;D

Sasori was an amazing character. I think Kishimoto did a great job developing him in such a short time. His fight with Sakura and Chiyo was fantastic and unique, relying more on skill from Sasori and a combination of skill, tactics and luck from the girls... unlike a lot of fights in the second half of the series which disappointed me.

And I loved his death. To me it was the best finishes to a character in the series since Zabuza. Both of them managed to retain their villainous, hard edged nature while still showing that they could not escape their human side in the end.

I would have loved to see Sasori more in the series, but I don't think he would be as great a character had his end not happened the way it did. I certainly remain a huge fan of his, and constantly annoy my friends in chats and so on by talking about his greatness. His jutsu, his philosophy, the idea of an adult hiding in a child who is hiding in puppet because he fears his own frailty and the frailty of others... I just liked everything about him.

Well, my brother read most of the manga before me and when he told me about Sasori, and how he made Kankuro's puppets I was like, "Cool! Puppet master!" But that's all. :/ I really love the way Kishi makes puppets kick ass in his series.

I admit he's really pretty. Damn. But he's not my favorite. I like Kisame and Deidara the best. :x

Ah what are you talking about? I love the little puppet master :P He had the most character background that we know of in the entire Akatsuki (next to Itachi). I really wish Kishi would do the same with the rest, but I suppose they're just meant to be stereotypical villans *wangst*.

Bottom line, Sasori is cool. I love how Hiruko looks so fierce and rather monsterous, but inside is this innocent little boy (well sorta) who's capable of so much damage. That's sneaky, Kishi, very sneaky.

So you can still be cool when you're dead *wangsts again*. At least he died in a *cool* way, and it wasn't pathetic Unlike Kakuzu's and Hidan's. I'm still pissed about that.

But yeah, I do think some people tend to forget about the long dead characters. I mean, look at Haku. He had about as much character development as Sasori (maybe a tad bit more) and everyone seems to have forgot about him. It makes me sad.

I was never a Sasori fan. He just never had any attributes that took my interest... and the whole human-puppet body thing really kinda turned me off. Plus he got killed by an old lady and Sakura. Mostly why I don't like Kisame and his... blueness and facial gills. Not in to things that just automatically come off as phony. I like characters who come off realistic, and if they have some strange abilities, I want their to be a really good reasoning to it. Deidara and his mouthy hands... I think Kishimoto just did THAT for perverted jokes. Another character I'm not into.

I really loathe all the ~*BISHI*~ Sasori fanart. Fandom makes me really sad sometimes - it's always so unrealistic and unrelatable. Hiruko Sasori made me way more happy. :( Not every character has be a dreamboat or paired/slashed...

Oh, I loved Sasori even before his cute puppet body was revealed! His first body was so cool and scorpion-like. And his talks with Deidara... so much love ♥ And it just got better once we got to know a bit about him and he suddenly became a cute little cyborg-type :D

And as much as I love Tobi, I still get sad about his death. It's like, Kishi keeps introducing new characters of AWESOME and then kills them to keep the plot moving or something.

Sasori is still my #2 in my favourite character list (only beaten by Deidara) and SasoDei is my OTP. The Sasori fandom isn't dead actually... just more quiet since we don't have MUCH to talk about XD. There are still fanfiction, fanart, doujinshi, cosplay, ... more... out there ^^
