I dunno, am I the only one who thinks this arc is made of total fail? I'm really trying to find some value here. Just watched 64, and somehow Tsunade has become this helpless -- girl -- who needs to be saved by Naruto? I mean, what, she just missed the chakra he sensed from half a mile away? And don't even get me started on Sora. It's like a patchwork teddy bear of Gaara, Sasuke, whatever.

Anyway, someone please tell me it's a) worth watching or b) it will all be over soon.

Mm yeah I wish they'd just get to Hidan and Kakuzu already, as wasn't the first round of fillers bad enough? On the other hand, the animation isn't that shoddy (least from what I've seen, admittedly I haven't watched this whole arc) and yeah...zombie ninjas.

I have to agree on Sora though, though it is kinda cool they're actually filling in a gap of part 2, mainly the lack of story etc for the Bijju/Jinchuuriki.

Kishimoto didn't make Sora. Whatever filler writers for the anime did. You can always tell filler characters by not only the way they look but how uninteresting they are.

I think Sora's pretty cute. He was trying to play the tough guy when he was face to face with Akamaru. That episode was pretty funny XD I luff him a bit, even though he's just a filler. And Sora is too much like Sasuke. I just don't like it that much. Can Naruto get a teammate that he actually gets along with? @__@

Also, I really wish they would get to Hidan and Kakuzu already.

* didn't know there was different writers for the fillers?* I'm sure Kishimoto was involved somehow.

Sora drives me nuts, yes. He's pretty much a clone of Sasuke, yes. BUT I seriously am enjoying these fillers. Probably because, I think they'll actually fit in with the series instead of being completely random like the other 80 or so.
Also, they are made REALLY well. They've stepped it up.

And the whole Tsunade thing. I AGREE! The whole time I was thinking * why doesn't Tsunade show off her kick ass strength and knock a bish out?* And why doesn't she help kill the people invading! Her of all people should be protecting the people, not just standing in her office hopeless!

Kishimoto has nothing to do with the anime other than writing the original manga. They have their own script writers who adapt the manga for animation. The most anime companies allow a mangaka to do is pick the voice actors. The mangaka won't say anything while their story is being animated but most will complain afterward about the stuff that totally contradicted what the characters are supposed to be like, screw up plotlines, have technology that isn't in that world, etc... So more than likely Kishimoto hated the fillers in part 1 as much as we did. He likely doesn't really care for how the movies mess around with that stuff as well.

O___O Wow really?

That's horrible.. I would want in more on how my story was being animated then just that. Quite shocking.. Thanks for telling me this though. =]

The same thing happens in the US and the UK when novels are adapted to movies or TV. The writer almost never has any say in what is done with their works. They might get to visit the set and meet the actors but that's about it.

Gah, I can only hope it ends soon! When the filler first started, I thought it was okay and I even thought Sora was kinda cool as far as filler characters go. And the animation quality was way better than before compared to the other fillers. But now that this story is being painfully drawn out to be as long as possible, it just sucks DDD: There's already way more than enough manga to animate already, Piero Studios! DDD:<

While I think it was cool that Naruto saved Tsunade from imminent harm, the fact that Tsunade didn't even notice the attack makes me miffed. And she was just sitting in her office almost the whole time DDD:

I hope they finish the Hidan and Kakuzu arc quickly. I found Hidan and Kakuzu the most irritating and boring Akatsuki of all. I was glad Kishimoto finished them off fairly quickly.

eeww fillers

Well, if you really want my honest opinion on this two eps, I think the screencap in my icon (which is from those eps), is pretty much the only thing worth watching for me. :D

And perhaps the zombies, for the lulz.

The fillers just need to end.

However, I do like how they put in Naruto's wind training with Asuma, and Asuma's tie in with the mysterious crouch guard loin cloth waist band thing 'n whatshisface from the Temple. I think he's the jinchuuriki that Hidan and Kakuzu pick off, right? All the more reason for Asuma to go to the rescue. AND HIS DEATH.

Also, zombie-nin? Best Konoha takeover EVER. I mean really, Orochimaru tried it way back fifty-three hundred years ago, after all. WHY NOT RECYCLE OLD IDEAS, WRITERS? YEAH!!

On the subject of Sora, I always thought of him as a mix between Sai and Naruto. I don't really know why. The obvious Naruto similarity is obvious. But it's the way that Naruto skirts around and dislikes-but-really-wants-to-help Sora that make me relate Sora to Sai, I guess. And yeah, toss in Sasuke, and ya got the crazy bowlcut-wind-user. +_+

AND I TOTALLY AGREE ON THE TSUNADE BIT. She's anything but helpless, and so totally wouldn't have been taken out by that stupid hueg shuriken. fffff >/

Overall I didn't think it was a really bad episode, I was interested in the story. BUT the part where Tsunade just stood around dumbfounded instead of fighting really annoyed me! She's the Hokage for a reason! TO PROTECT THE VILLAGE! *boots filler writers in the head*

Hnn... I didn't mind it as much as some of the filler episodes I have seen in the past. *shudder*

And I s'pose, it was the Zombie!Ninja's that had me hooked - plus the animated Gaiden image also.

However, I agree with this Tsunade business - I still can't believe she sat in her chair, with her back to her Ninjas as they were swallowed up by crevises and squished with rocks. She seemed... Out of character. And here all the villagers' were saying they had little to fear because their Hokage was there!

... Sitting in her chair, with her eyes closed. Hm.

I just wish they'd stop the fillers now and get back to the real plot line - before they lose more viewers.
