Not just your average High School roleplay…

It’s 2509 and genetic mutations and pollution have created a whole new breed of human. These special teenagers, either too dangerous or too advanced to go into normal schools, have been sent to a special school in New York. But there’s more than the nature of this school that’s special: It’s located above New York—in the sky. Due to the increase of technology and architecture, the big cities fast ran out of space, so they built up. An entire new level of New York exists in the air, and the center of it all is the Laputa High School for Gifted Individuals.

In Laputa, all of the characters are regular high school students—except they all have super powers. The kids come from all over and live in dorms in the Laputa boarding school. The students of Laputa High are perfectly normal kids trying to make it through life without being oppressed or targeted because of their special abilities.

So they gather from around the country—some from around the world—to this one special haven in the midst of normality, learning how to control their powers and function properly in the world of humans. But fitting in isn’t their only challenge; like any school, teenage drama and cliques are forming rapidly in Laputa High—new students are pushed around and tougher kids take charge of the hallways. The teachers have their work cut out for them if they want to keep the streets safe from unruly charges.

Aside from the initial disturbances caused by the super children, most of the normal human generation is blissfully calm about the problems faced by the specially powered humans. The establishment of the facility served to calm whatever qualms about the coexistence with the metahumans, and aside from a small faction, the humans and superhumans were at peace. Or, so they thought.

For the first few years that Laputa was in action, things seemed to be going rather smoothly, until suddenly students started disappearing. Unbeknownst to the school’s headmaster, one of the teachers, Orochimaru, is an ally with the anti-metahuman organizations, and has been capturing students from underneath their noses and taking them to secret labs to do experiments on them.

The school board, not wanting to alarm the parents or children, have managed to hush up the instances, but as the kidnappings slowly begin to increase, the students begin to get suspicious, and the teachers are starting to worry. On top of normal high school problems, the constant threat of abduction lies around nearly every turn—and they don’t have any clue its there.

Welcome to the Laputa School for super-humans, where you’re just a normal kid with some extra baggage just trying to get by, and your life could be in danger and you don’t even know it.
