I`m writing this post mostly for those who did not understand which real life people was Killer Bee (8 tails) based on.
I think Killer Bee is based on the famous fighters.

1. Hulk Hogan.



Killer Bee is similar to Hulk Hogan because of the looks mostly.

2. Mister T



Mister T had a catchphrase "I pitty the fool !" he used the word "fool" alot. In the manga we see that 8 tails says "idiot" pretty often too.

3. Muhammad Ali



Ali was best known for his fighting style which he described as "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee". 8 tails calls himself Killer Bee + in the 411 manga he quoted Mihammad.

Yeah, the character has a lot of Muhammad Ali qualities. Ali's speed, somewhat unorthodox fighting style, and his taunting opponents with poems and the like all seem to have influenced the character. Especially telling that they Kishi used one of his signature lines as you stated.

Is the 'float like a butterfly, sting like a bee' a liberty the translators took, or does it literally translate from the original Japanese? O.o

One translator had dance instead of float, but since 2 different translators seen have the Ali line or something just a little off I assume it is actually in the chapter.

The first thing I thought of when I saw the 8-tails Jin was that he looked like Hulk Hogan, glad to know that someone else sees it too.

8 tails guy is also some sort of master swordsman who is able to fight using more then two sword by grasping his extra swords (this time being 8) with other parts of his body including his mouth.

Shame that eight tails is going to die eventually given this is Sasugay he's up against. He's one of the more interesting bijus given he's pretty much a amalgramation of several famous fighters (and maybe Eminem or something). Not to mention we have yet to see him in a rap contest of sorts.
