Fanfiction Recommendations?

Hi guys. Seeing as there are so many pages over at FF.net for the Naruto section and likely many old fics on LJ that I have unfortunately never discovered, I have a request.

Could I get recs for some of the best action/adventure Naruto fics you've read? Any and all characters are fine, and I'm okay with any pairings or side pairings as well.

It's an old one (from 2006) and still on-going but I personally love Regret Not A Thing (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2745422/) by Mizerable (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/251508/). And I'm not sure if this counts as action, but Ruth (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3167371/) by firefly (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/17903/) is one of the most beautiful things I've ever read in the Naruto fandom.

Ripple Effect (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2230633/1/Ripple_Effect) by Rayemars. Not entirely sure it counts as action/adventure (been a while since I read it; looks like I have an excuse to read it again now), but it was So Good and for the most part, gen.

...do "world goes boom" fics count? Because one of the best I've read is "Solfege" (http://mercurial-wit.livejournal.com/42300.html), by mercurial_wit. It's a one-shot with a wonderful prose and an excellent characterization. There are hints of pairings, but the only 'solid' ones are Shikamaru/Temari and Sasuke/Naruto.

There's also "anchored in dust" (http://mercurial-wit.livejournal.com/43279.html), by the same author. Which is more introspective and Sasuke-centric, but still leaning more heavily onto gen.

Time and Again. (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4041754/1/Time_and_Again) (I’m pretty sure this is action/adventure. Potential pairings are Sasu/Saku and Naru/Hina but 32 chapters in, and they’re mostly hinted at still.)

I know the going-back-in-time thing has been done to death in Naruto but Time and Again is pretty damn amazing in all counts from what I can see. Both in working things into the continuity, straying from it but for a purpose and in the case of amazing characterization. From Naruto’s maturity to the fact that he still remains in general, his clueless, bumbling self, and from Sakura’s initial Uchihatard-ishness to her subsequent development into seeing him as first a friend and then something more. And from Sasuke, thinking to follow Naruto in the mornings to see where/how he trains rather than simply asking him for any kind of assistance and to his reluctant shift in how he views his teamates.

:coughs: Or well, I liked it. (The Gaara moments with Naruto kill me. In a good way.)

Team 8 (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2731239/1/Team_8): Naruto is placed on Team 8 instead of Kiba. Top notch action-adventure. Fleshes out Kurenai more and gives her more character background. Also, amazing characterization for Naruto, Shino, and Hinata. The teamwork they have going on is great. NaruHina.

I'm sure there are plenty of others, but this is a definite must-read. ^o^v

I was actually going to mention Team 8 mayself, darnit! Ah, well, it's seconded then. As action goes, it's the best I've read, but that's not all it has going for it. Totally a must-read.

One of the best Naruto fics I ever read.
Naruto and Sasuke, after they battle in the Valley of the End, somehow go back in time, 5 years in the past and change their own history knowing everything that's going to happen beforehand.
Exciting, well written, and no pairings.
Is still on-going, the autor takes her time to update, though.

If you're looking for specifically action and adventure:

Naruto: The Paths to Power (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2086265/1/Naruto_The_Paths_to_Power) by indigonitelite (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/682393/indigonitelite)
-This is definitely what you call an epic. You can say that Naruto is the main character in this, but others do play just as prominent roles such as Kakashi, Team Gai, and people such as Orochimaru and Sasuke. I favor Sasuke more than Naruto, however anyone would love this story regardless of which character you like simply because it's that good.
The Lazy Uchiha (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2099569/1/The_Lazy_Uchiha) by Hibiki54 (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/283534/Hibiki54)
-Itachi and Sasuke centric, however Team 7 plays greater role later on. It's hard to think of any Naruto story greater than this since this has everything.

-Focuses evenly on Team 7 including Kakashi. Be sure to read "Scarlet" by this author which focuses on Itachi growing up and joining Akatsuki. Definitely very talented.

-A Sasu/Hina, however it's very understated and all the rookies have a role. Main characters are Sasuke, Hinata, Sakura, and Ino, and the story is complete.

-Neji-centric with Sasuke and other Sound Ninja playing a prominent role.

No one will ever go wrong with any of the stories I just listed. I may or may not be able to recommend some more as well if you do favor one character over another, or if you wouldn't mind a greater focus on drama, angst, or any other genre besides action/adventure.

Thanks for these! Very informative. I am specifically looking for epic stories, but really anything with awesome adventure/fighting scenes is good too, no matter if they share genres or not.

If you don't mind rec'ing more stories featuring any of the following: Team 7, Team 8, or Neji (I like him, what can I say), I'd appreciate that a lot. Thanks again!
