Hello guys! I have two new NaruSaku pics for you, they're kinda angsty. (I've been reading a bunch of fics, lol) XD

"Avoidance"

"I'm Sorry"

Hope you enjoy! <333

Aww, the avoidance one kinda breaks my heart. I think I've read fanfics like this, lol.

Could you keep these under a cut...?

Sorry, it's just what people usually do with art posts.

Makes sense. I'd like it if you did, since not everyone likes the pairing or particularly wants to see it, but I guess it isn't technically against the rules.

That one's worse, actually, but it's a silly thing to argue about so I'll drop it. I'd like it if I didn't have to see it, but I'll just... Scroll faster next time.

Yeah, those poor people. It's so hard, seeing pairings you don't like on the main page of a general community. Those pixels might just cause some SERIOUS TRAUMA.

Seriously, what? Somehow, my heart just fails to bleed for anyone who is bothered by seeing a pairing that doesn't fit THEIR preferences. That's kind of a GTFover it and grow up.

Uh... I think you're taking this a little too seriously, dude.

Funnily enough, I think asking someone to LJ-cut an art because not everyone might want to see the pairing is taking this a little too seriously.

Uhh. Okay then. Sorry for not wanting un-cut dub-con on my flist?

Makes sense. I'd like it if you did, since not everyone likes the pairing or particularly wants to see it, but I guess it isn't technically against the rules.

Personally I enjoy lots of pairings, both popular ones and rare ones. Part of what makes fandom and communities so great is that everyone gets to share what they love to see and read, be it popular pairings, rare pairs, or even the rarest pairings that are so hard to ever find again. Large fandoms that include fans with diverse interests and fans willing to share their interests are a definate win in my book, and I love thanking people who share their work and help make fandom more enjoyable for popular pairing shippers and rare shippers alike.

This is a general Naruto community, open to all different interests, and fans should feel good about posting whatever they want to share whether it's popular or not. Diversity in fandom keeps it open enough so that there's something enjoyable for everyone. If someone doesn't want to see or read something they can skip it, but if the fanwork is never posted because people start holding back what they fear won't be accepted then everyone who would and does want to see it loses out.

Keep on posting fans! ^^

I know! I just think it'd be courteous if not everyone had to see it. Maybe a smaller preview? It's just not the sort of think I want my co-workers to see if they walked by my computer...

Your comment now raises two issues-

1: Everyone who visits the comm post can see it- this was mentioned earlier, and
2. Your co-workers can see it if they walk by your pc- this wasn't mentioned in the previous comment

Regarding #1, only one piece is visible and the other is behind a cut, and the visible one is a decent size- not too big, not too small. I've seen much larger pics that were not lj-cut because of technical issues.

Regarding #2, it isn't fair to fans or comms to start worrying about what others are viewing at work. Generally speaking, co-workers and bosses are going to notice anything on the screen that doesn't look work related, even if they don't immediately say so. Suggesting that posters modify their post entries, especially when the pieces seem appropriate for most audiences, because of where some people are choosing to open their LJs is really inappropriate. That's like telling people to change their icons because of where other people are opening their LJ. Where people view things is the responsibility of the viewer to think about. LJ-cuts, locking posts and rating systems are typically in place for whole other reasons that the two issues you've mentioned.

I'll say it again: people can skip over posts they don't want to see, but if you're concerned about getting caught at work then you have a totally different predicament! ^_^

I know... I guess I'll just mark it on that Firefox spam filter thing, so I don't have to look at it. 'Cause... Yeah, yuck.

I like having the preview pic. People do them with icons all the time. No need to hide your art just because one person doesn't like the pairing :/

I agree. *is not much of a NaruSaku fan, but I can enjoy pretty artwork all the same :)* I like the first one a lot. I was one of the people who really disliked Sakura because of the way she treated Naruto early on in the series, but it seems really obvious to me that she grows to love him and consider him a valuable friend. I like seeing that side of her because it really redeems her character (in my eyes) She recognizes her mistakes, feels guilty for them, and strives to strengthen their bonds.

The concept of her feeling so guilty for what she's done that she can't allow herself to fall in love with him now is SO MUCH ANGST, but it's also very sweet. I guess I just like romance with a good bit of heartbreak. Looks like they make up in the second picture. Good for them! XD

Thanks for sharing the pretty art.

Much Love,
Marysia

There is no need to hide your love of a pairing. If you can't share your fannish love within the confines of fandom, where love of all things fandom-related (no matter how hilarious and absurd) should be encouraged to thrive, then where can you share it?

I think it's sad when people don't even feel comfortable expressing their love of a pairing in a place where, by all rights, such feelings should have the utmost support. I think it's wonderful that you have a pairing you love, [livejournal.com profile] lellbug. Never apologize, and never let anyone make you feel like you should!

Yeah, but as wanky as fandom gets sometimes, you just never know. I have met people who feel that way, quite seriously, and it's always kind of sad to me!

Anyhow, cheers for not caring what the masses think. ♥

To the artist: Lovely work. I'm sorry you had people complaining about LJ-cutting because of the pairing. I think that's bullshit, and I hope you don't bend to that kind of pressure. There is nothing wrong with the manner in which you post your art.

Hi artist! I love the artwork here- it's very emotionally driven and certainly adds to the appeal!

I understand the suggestion for using thumbnails regarding large and/or multiple pictures in a single post, but please don't be discouraged about posting- there are plenty of people who love all kinds of pairings and part of what makes fandom wonderful is that we can post what we like and share in those interests together! :D
