Date: 2008-08-31 04:12 am (UTC)I've seen other art posts that only show the first preview pic, then the rest behind a cut. And that's what I've consistently been doing when I post here.

Date: 2008-08-31 07:40 pm (UTC)Seriously, what? Somehow, my heart just fails to bleed for anyone who is bothered by seeing a pairing that doesn't fit THEIR preferences. That's kind of a GTFover it and grow up.

Date: 2008-08-31 08:03 pm (UTC)Personally I enjoy lots of pairings, both popular ones and rare ones. Part of what makes fandom and communities so great is that everyone gets to share what they love to see and read, be it popular pairings, rare pairs, or even the rarest pairings that are so hard to ever find again. Large fandoms that include fans with diverse interests and fans willing to share their interests are a definate win in my book, and I love thanking people who share their work and help make fandom more enjoyable for popular pairing shippers and rare shippers alike.
This is a general Naruto community, open to all different interests, and fans should feel good about posting whatever they want to share whether it's popular or not. Diversity in fandom keeps it open enough so that there's something enjoyable for everyone. If someone doesn't want to see or read something they can skip it, but if the fanwork is never posted because people start holding back what they fear won't be accepted then everyone who would and does want to see it loses out.
Keep on posting fans! ^^

Date: 2008-08-31 09:34 pm (UTC)1: Everyone who visits the comm post can see it- this was mentioned earlier, and
2. Your co-workers can see it if they walk by your pc- this wasn't mentioned in the previous comment
Regarding #1, only one piece is visible and the other is behind a cut, and the visible one is a decent size- not too big, not too small. I've seen much larger pics that were not lj-cut because of technical issues.
Regarding #2, it isn't fair to fans or comms to start worrying about what others are viewing at work. Generally speaking, co-workers and bosses are going to notice anything on the screen that doesn't look work related, even if they don't immediately say so. Suggesting that posters modify their post entries, especially when the pieces seem appropriate for most audiences, because of where some people are choosing to open their LJs is really inappropriate. That's like telling people to change their icons because of where other people are opening their LJ. Where people view things is the responsibility of the viewer to think about. LJ-cuts, locking posts and rating systems are typically in place for whole other reasons that the two issues you've mentioned.
I'll say it again: people can skip over posts they don't want to see, but if you're concerned about getting caught at work then you have a totally different predicament! ^_^

Date: 2008-08-31 03:35 pm (UTC)The concept of her feeling so guilty for what she's done that she can't allow herself to fall in love with him now is SO MUCH ANGST, but it's also very sweet. I guess I just like romance with a good bit of heartbreak. Looks like they make up in the second picture. Good for them! XD
Thanks for sharing the pretty art.
Much Love,
Marysia

Date: 2008-08-31 07:49 pm (UTC)I think it's sad when people don't even feel comfortable expressing their love of a pairing in a place where, by all rights, such feelings should have the utmost support. I think it's wonderful that you have a pairing you love,

Date: 2008-08-31 08:10 pm (UTC)I understand the suggestion for using thumbnails regarding large and/or multiple pictures in a single post, but please don't be discouraged about posting- there are plenty of people who love all kinds of pairings and part of what makes fandom wonderful is that we can post what we like and share in those interests together! :D
