3rd Databook Released in Japan and the word on the streets is...

NOTE: NONE OF THIS HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED YET. The following information has been posted on 2ch by various people: there aren't any scans or anything from the databook yet. So keep in mind that some of this might not turn out to be true, but until then, it's fun to discuss, yes?

What's been released so far: Hidan and Kakuzu's histories, a bunch of heights, weights and ages, Nidaime and Sarutobi's names.



Nidaime's real name: Tobirama Senju. Before anyone goes nuts over this, let me just point out that "Hashira" of "Hashirama" (Shodaime's real name) means "pillar" and the "Tobira" of "Tobirama" means "door". It's most likely just Kishimoto having fun with his names again.

Sarutobi's full name was Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Tobi's stats are given, but Madara's just say "unknown". Hmmm....

Hidan was apparently from Yuugakure, the Hidden Village of Hot Water. (Uhh...okay.) Yuugakure decided that it didn't feel like staying a hidden village and transitioned out into a peaceful and prosperous village instead. Hidan, growing up, already showed a tendency toward Jashinist violent ways, decided that he didn't like this and slaughtered his neighbors before leaving the village. Supposedly, his immortality is the result of a Jashinist experiment: he's the first successful result and if he stops killing people, his immortality will disappear. Hidan's 22.

Kakuzu was assigned to assassinate Shodaime by the leader of the Hidden Waterfall Village: when he failed, the village severely beat and punished him for losing, and threw his ass in jail. This pissed Kakuzu off so much that he broke out, stole the village's special hidden technique--the heart-stealing jutsu--and killed the Waterfall head with it. He's 91.

Uchiha Itachi (taken verbatim from someone's translation)
Character: Thinking about his little brother (smiling), Self-sacrificing(smiling);
Favourite food: omusubi (rice balls), konbu (seaweed), kyabetsu (cabbage);
Hobby: Going through "sweet places". Like confectioner's shops.


Sai is 17.
Karin is 16.
Juugo is 18 and around 6'5 or so.
Suigetsu is 16.
Deidara is 19. His favorite food is "bakudan" and his birthday is May 5th.
Sasori is 35.

Things that will be answered in the manga: what Karin did to Sasuke, why Naruto's seal is failing, why he can only go four tails, whether Kushina is alive or not.

If Kishimoto was a girl, he would want Shikamaru for a boyfriend. (So many things have suddenly become clear....)



So far that seems to be it. Hopefully we'll get some more information as the Japanese posters get their hands on it.

EDIT: Added Deidara's birthday and who Kishimoto would pick as a boyfriend if he was a girl.

A lot of the characters are younger than I would have expected. I figured Sasori was 30-40-ish, so I wasn't too far off, there, but I imagined Dei to be in his 20s -- perhaps 24 or 25. Karin and Suigetsu are younger than I anticipated, too. Then again, I really should've figured them to be about those ages. People grow up young in Naruto-world.

If this is true, then ho shit, I guessed all of that right! Seriously. I wonder if the "if he stops killing people, his immortality will disappear" part means if he gives up Jashin or literally stops killing people for "x amount of time". If it's the latter, than not only is he literally dead now, but I want to know what x amount of time is. I'd rather him be dead than buried alive for the rest of eternity. Seriously. And I still haven't got his damn surname!
