[Fic] PeinKonan, speculative character study

Title: That Was the Big Idea
Pairing: Pein/Konan, a few dashes of Madara being a magnificent bastard, various Akatsuki members. Currently Deidara more than anyone else.
Rating: M, for an adult sexual relationship and some scattered bad language from Hidan.
Warnings: Spoileriffic for just about everything Akatsuki has ever done, so pretty much part II in it's entirety. This story presents the character motivations for both as vastly more complex than they are or will likely ever be portrayed in canon. There are also references to IRL cultural elements, nations, political and religious systems of thought and various historical figures that may or may not actually exist in the Naruto-verse. Possibly a semi-AU just for that.

Summary: It's a shared effort.

(So maybe there is nothing they can do now. They are sunken deep into Madara’s plans. They’ve been on this path for a very long time. There’s no point in trying to interfere, Deidara will probably be dead within the week.)
