You should go to one sometime ♥ It's a great experience.

And they're not so expensive, if you go with a group---that cheapens most of the cost right there (Hotel and Gas are the two biggest things, at least for me. Well, and also cosplay.)

Was it a big convention that you have locally? Or just something small?

And, while I won't deny there are some scary things out there (Man-Sakura was one I saw.), there's also some really awesome stuff, too. I've been going since 2003--21 cons under my belt--and I wouldn't give it up for the world. It's too much fun.

But, sometimes it's hit and miss on the scary things, though alot of the time, when you see them--they're more funny than shocking. ♥

Hm. Normally, no--unless you count the "creepy guy purposefully cosplaying female character to be funny/get attention/etc" as something that qualifies into that category.

Otherwise, it's your normal crazy fandom stuff.
