Hey

I remember an episode in the anime when Naruto wrote the Icha Icha text in place of Jiraiya and i was wondering now that Jiraiya is dead will Naruto take his Sensei's place as a sage but also as a Icha Icha writer? What do you think?

I hate to bring down a CRACK! Idea, but that was a filler episode, so it doesn't count.

Naruto's "offical" opinion is that the books are boring.

That would be the part I hate to bring down, it is a rather amusing concept.

Still I thought Kakashi would be more likely to carry on the series.

Hahahhaha, that reminds me when my friend and I brainstormed a crack!fic in which Sasuke wrote Icha Icha in honor of Kakashi's supposed death (it's still not for certain whether he's alive or dead! D:).

I've read a LOT of fics in which Naruto takes over actually. Usually Naruto becomes the writer and Sai is the illustrater. XDDD

I mean, come on. The kid was cursed with two epic perverts for teachers, and his father was one too. Kind of unavoidable that he'll turn into one. He probably protested it so much before because he was much younger, but I have a feeling it would be another way to honour Jiraiya, because let's face it- we usually end up finding a sort of odd affection for the things that those we love indulge in.

The thing that prompted me to this idea was that episode in the anime when Naruto write the Icha Icha and there is a mixing up in the documents and in the end they show Jiraiya crying in the tree coz his fan couldn't really recognize the difference between his writing and Naruto's writing.
