Summary: It was a night for the history books. It was the night the fearsome Kyuubi, who had terrorized Konohagure for weeks, was finally defeated. The night the forth Hokage lost what was most precious to him. The night of Uzumaki Naruto's birth.
A/N: This is me speculating about the events of Naruto's birth. I wrote this back when Jiraiya was fighting Pain and had his minakushi flashback, revealing Kushina's character design. I totally and utterly fell in love with minakushi (in my head they have a sort of a milder version of the sasunaru chemistry: he's the composed genius while she's the exuberant tomboy. She teases him and give him a hard time and he's just completely enamored with her. And of course she owns his ass. But in a loving way). Yes, it's a bit old, but it's beta'd and edited thoroughly. I'm rather happy with it.
