Just wondering because I see so many different opinions in fandom. Where would you like to see the manga go from this point forward, plot and character-wise? I'm interested in hearing people's opinions and discussion rocks but...please no wank or fighting or anything. Though I honestly can't remember the last time a naruto community has been nailed for wank so I don't think it would be a problem...unless I'm just not active enough in fandom to notice :D.

I'd like to see the resolution with Sasuke ending up in prison or some form of help/rehabilitation. Kakashi as Hokage until Naruto is fully ready for the job. Naruto continuing to change the way people think while he grows.


Of course I also want Rin to re-appear from where the Third sent her in to hiding due to his fear that Orochimaru would come after her due to her amazing transplanting talents. At which point she and Kakashi fall in love. But, that's just me.

I'd like Sasuke to figure out Madara betrayed him, then go up against him and totally get his ass kicked. Then Naruto, Sakura and Sai show up and they have to make beating him a ~*~team effort!~*~ But not without some mangekyou mindrape and severe angst. It would be even more super special awesome if team takafag showed up to help out too (and Naruto would give them the evils like 'we were way better teammates than those losers'). Meanwhile, the rest of the rookie 9 (and team Gai of course) get their awesome time by fighting the rest of the Akatsuki. Which... I guess is just Kisame and half of Zetsu at this point. But there was that 'Moon's Eye' thing Madara wanted to do... so they could try and stop that, whatever it is. Anyway, Madara gets a chance to be an awesomesauce villain before they eventually kill him in a cool way. Like, Sasuke and Naruto combine a fire and wind jutsu to make a super special awesome uberfireball. Clearly I have given this too much thought.

Anyway, at the very end, I just want Sasuke to come back. I think he will. It's something Nobuhiro Watsuki said in the last arc of Kenshin: 'shonen manga is about smiles and happy endings.' I seriously doubt it's going to end tragically. I have a feeling (though it gets a little more fleeting with each new chapter D:) that Sasuke will eventually redeem himself, if not by coming back, then by dying a hero (I don't think that'll happen since he is one of the most popular characters, but if he does alskdjasld seriously Kishimoto I will just fff-- I will *lip wibble*). Team 7 has just worked too goddamn hard and cried too many tears not to get their happy ending.

Also, I wouldn't exactly mind a narusasusakusai foursome. Just. Y'know. Putting that out there.

Yeah I cannot see Sasuke dying or getting killed off simply because his return to Konoha and life are so central to Naruto's immediate goals. I foresee a coma or lots of community service for Sasuke.

I've given up having short-timed predictions, so currently I'm just reading the manga and hoping for the following things to happen:
- Sasuke redeeming himself
- Sasuke and Naruto fighting together against... someone, Madara probably
- Sasuke coming back to Konoha to live happily ever after with Team 7

So lately, I had to close my eyes and cross my fingers a bit harder, because it just seems harder and harder with every chapter for Sasuke to come back, but I refuse to give up. There are some other small things I'm interested in (Kabuchimaru), but the above things fill me with tension the most.

Mine are totally long shots, but here they are:

- Naruto having to earn his rank the old fashioned way--no zomg he is Strong and Amazing so we will make him Hokage even though he Fails on Several Levels.

And by fail, I mean his seeming lack of ability to be rational and lead people in a logical manner [emotion is all well and good, but logic needs a place to have a functioning village], his inexperience on missions, his inexperience in teamwork [sorry, Kages ought to need more than a few months as part of a Genin team], his lack of practise in teaching, in leading, his lack of knowledge about the ins and outs of the very shinobi system he is part of, and his terrifying lack of knowledge of jutsu-he-can't-use-himself.

But, mostly, I'd seriously just love for him to go up in ranks like a ninja ought to. I don't like the idea that he'd get by on power but lack the experience and formal testing. Those tests are there for a reason.

- Sane, plausible development for the female characters. I know. Seriously wishful thinking, but I still dream.

- Sasuke dead. I don't think he can be redeemed plausibly anymore, and his being alive only holds Naruto and Sakura back.

Yes! Exactly! I want Naruto to be the Hokage eventually, but I want him to earn it through the system. Not by going around the system. (YAY TSUNADE! WAKE UP PLZ.)

Well, honestly, I could plausibly see him failing the Chuunin exam now if he just powered through it. They even state that that's not the point of the exam--they want to see how the Genin think, and that's why neither Naruto or Neji passed the first time around, but Shikamaru did even though he technically 'lost' since he gave up. They want proof of analytical thinking in the final, and that might be hard for Naruto since he's so used to just blasting things out of his way.

(He totally needs a Genin team, for exactly the reasons you stated. I would die laughing of him dealing with his team going through puberty.)

XD;;;; I'm afraid that's the route Kishi will take. In strength that's perfectly fine, but a ninja has to be able to think about their situation and adjust accordingly! Not use the same technique over and over and over again 'till it looks like a row of nails that have all been done in by the same hammer.

About Sasuke-I foresaw the possibility a long time ago that he would become too far gone to be redeemable, but the only issue about killing him off is that he is the central focus of Naruto and his immediate goal. Naruto wants him back in Konoha (and alive) no matter what. I think Sasuke might end up in a coma before he ends up dead.

I agree!!! Sakura needs to get back into the action here!! Also, I agree about this fated fight issue- to me this strikes as a tactic to once again absolve Sasuke of his bad decisions and actions by making this issue an ingrained part of his lineage and bloodline so to speak, as if he cannot help himself now but to fight Naruto...so tragic...*dramatic hand to the forehead*

My one hope is that whatever Itachi gave Naruto will be enough to knock some sense back into Sasuke or render him comatose until he can't do any more damage to himself or anyone else than he already has. (and maybe get to see a tiiiiny bit more Itachi XD)

I want Danzou to become final major villain. Maybe side by side with Madara, but not taken out as easily as he seems to be at the moment, with most of the other kages knowing that he is an evil guy and distrusting him deeply. He is falling far too quickly for my taste. (It's maybe because while Madara represents some mythical principal evil, Danzou rather represents human evil. I prefer the latter.)

I hope that the Konoha-is-the-good-guys morality will be seriously shattered. Not that I want the whole village to turn evil, but I want a more universalist approach to moral questions, not "good is whatever is good for Konoha" (which is what Danzou claims to be his position.) We have had some steps to this universalist morality (the last one being Gaara's announcement in chapter 461), but it's not yet clear enough.

I hope for a rehabilitation of the Uchiha clan, at least a partial rehabilitation. Somehow we know that their opponent, Danzou, was not a good guy either, but at the moment it still seems that they were largely responsible for the massacre and deserved it. I don't like the Senju versus Uchiha thing either...

This means that there will also have to be some rehabilitation for Sasuke. No return for him as some prodigious son, but the crimes against him and his people will be acknowledged by the people of Konoha. There will be no punishment at all for his desertion. I have no idea however how to deal what he did to other people, as Killerbee or Jay, and, as the question is how we want the manga to continue, I hope that Kishimoto will find a way to get him out of this and won't burden him with more crimes.

For the rest: Well, Naruto as Hokage, changing the ninja system and uniting the villages in a way very different to the methods Danzou is using. He will also have learnt to be partner with the kyuubi, preferrably from Killerbee. Of the two realistic pairing options, Sakura/Naruto or Sakura/Sasuke and Hinata/Naruto I prefer the latter (I don't believe that Kishimoto has the guts for Sasunaru.) Else, as a rather personal wish, I want a lot of screen time for Sasuke's teammates and a happy ending and acknowledgement for them. (I like them all.)

But, all in all, I would love some darkness for the coming volumes, just as we had it in Harry Potter, with Konoha ceasing to be a haven of security and goodness.

- Raikage finding out that Killerbee chose to run away.
- Jiraiya coming back from Ame and taking over from Danzou as Hokage.
- Sasuke finding out that Madara lied about Itachi.
- Naruto and Sasuke teaming up to defeat Madara.
- Sasuke realizing revenge achieves nothing and going back to Konoha.
- Team Taka-Hebi following Sasuke to Konoha.
- Naruto finding out that he is a member of the Senju clan.
- Naruto and Sasuke finding out that they are related (because, c'mon
Hashirama has to have Uchiha blood, just look at him.)
- Kushina showing up out of the blue.
- Naruto not becoming Hokage.

I honestly feel that one of the reasons as to why Gaara was written to be Kazekage (besides being awesome) was to show that a 16 year old boy could, if they had enough power and will to instill hope within their village, actually become Hokage. The same goes for Naruto, with him becoming a powerful ninja and on multiple occasions, he has shown that he has the "Will of Fire" within him, but I really hope that Kishimoto doesn't take him in that direction; making him Hokage at such a young age just because he has shown that he has drive and ability.

I don't know if Naruto's going to fulfill is need to be Hokage, or if Kishi's just going to repeat the cycle of the Three Sannin again, only slightly altered. Naruto either stays within Konoha and actually becomes Hokage, or he goes off in the world like Jiraiya did.

Sakura NEEDS to be given more time to show her full potential, and not cry in every panel she's given. I don't understand why she is made out to be stronger than her pre-skip counterpart, but then all she does is cry.

My feeling is that Naruto doesn't need to be Hokage. His original desire was to protect the village and be acknowledged by the villagers both have been full-filled. So really he may decide that the title isn't worth the paperwork.
