Well, since the stupid chapter hasn't been loaded up yet, I guess you guys should settle for the next best thing, Naruto Shippuden ep. 127 and 128.

Even though the show's gone way downhill since it first started, I was actually pretty pleased with this one. The producers did a good job of going more in-depth into how ravaged the entire world has become by the endless wars. What I really like about this latest episode is that there was actually emotion for once. Konan, Yahiko, and Nagato are given much more vibrant personalities, Orochimaru's slide to villainy was better portrayed, and Jiraiya was... Jiraiya (and what can you possibly complain about that?).

I'm behind on the anime a few episodes. Since I'm in a state of mania-induced insomnia, how about I catch up?

I used to be an insomniac for the longest time, and it suckedddd. Not sure if you're already trying this, but what I did to fix it was to work out in the morning to tire myself out from the start, take ZERO naps, and then take 7 to 7.5 hrs. of sleep. You're constantly tired out, but at least you can fall asleep normally with that kind of schedule.

As for the anime, no, it still sucks. Although Deidara vs. Sasuke was fun.

I was pretty happy with the Jir/Tsu moments. Don't remember if it's canon, but I heart them as a couple anyway.

Poor Tsunade; she would have given Jiraiya a chance if only he'd stuck around long enough for her to figure out that she did care.

I laughed at the filler (but I consider it canon because it fits so well) "Captain Oblivious" moment from Jiraiya. Tsunade couldn't have made a more obvious leading question talking about "settling down" in Konoha and Jiraiya totally misses it and goes on about searching for his destiny...

Jiraiya just didn't catch on till too late that when he'd drop his being an ass and pervert act and show his serious side she was quite attracted to him. Even when he gets it in their last conversation he won't let himself fully believe what he's seeing and tries to turn the emotionally intense serious moment into a joke. Tsunade doesn't let him fool her this time though, she really wanted to tell him and actually started to when he interupted her by making that jerky comment about Dan. They both were dancing around saying the words and revealing the depth of love they had, but neither actually does in the end.
