Essays/Character Analysis Request

I'm sure someone has to have written something; however, despite my distressingly rampant fascination with the snakey bastard, I have yet to find/read a good character study on him.

So I am asking all of you kind and wonderful people: Does anyone have a link to any essays or analysis of Orochimaru, of his goals and personality? Honestly, I will take anything that tells me anything useful at all-- timelines, psychoanalysis, quotations, etc.

You might like to check out narutoforadults, though I'm very sure that we haven't written specifically about Orochimaru (though we do have fans among us).

You'll have to do this. (Though I have in my mind an idea for an essay (irredeemably evil. Orochimaru is along with Danzou and Tobi/Madara one of the three irredeemably evil persons of the manga. I just reread the fight against Sasuke (volume 38 is now available in German) and realized that Orochimaru's reaction to his parents' death was quite different from that of other characters at the death of their loved ones. He thinks mainly of himself, and of his own immortality.)

See, that is so entirely NOT how I read that scene. When I see those pages, I see a kid coming out of profound depression/grief because the idea that-- if he became immortal-- then he would get to see his parents again when they were reborn. And then everything would be okay.

I don't keep up with the fandom so I can't help pointing you at anything, but Orochimaru is the most fucking awesome + hilarious character in Naruto and if something like this doesn't exist yet, It Needs To. Hell yeah Orochimaru for the fucking win. /FANGIRL MODE OFF
