The year is 2010, and though the rest of the world seems to be sorting it's problems out, there is a city that's problems just keep going, over and over again. As if stuck on repeat. In Shinjuku, Tokyo there seems to be nothing but death and decay surrounding the inhabitants of the city. Though during the day it would be hard for one to tell, there is a strong influence of Yakuza imbedded deeply into the city, one could even say it's was the foundation of the city. You see, here in Shinjuku, Tokyo there are people who have lived their whole lives in the Yakuza, or under the thumb of the Yakuza. But... though there is a lot of Yakuza influence, there are of course, officers of the law. There are groups of freelance detectives, trying to help families in cases where the Yakuza decide to snatch up a random hostage. There is a group of officers that are trained especially to deal with Yakuza, they are the 'Black ops.' in the local police precinct.

It was a time of hardships for most people, it was a time of glory for others. It was a time when all you could do was try your best. It was a time when ANBU ruled over everything with an iron fist. It was an abnormal if you weren't involved with them. Though there were the gangs that opposed them, struggling to get out from underneath their thumb. And there were a few precincts that were not on the take. This was a time when life wasn't judged by how much money you could make, yet it was judged by how much you could do for your community. Or give to your local chieftain. These were days of glory for the ANBU. They didn't have to worry about money, they didn't have to worry about cars, they didn't have to worry about anything. Because they ran in all. This was their town, and there was no way they were letting anyone take it away from them. No way. And now... It's your turn to live these days. However you like.
