in short, Naruto says Sasuke is his friend, Sasuke claims no-one understands him, Kakashi tries to persuade Naruto to let him do the dirty work, Sakura cries
Same ol', same ol'
The last sentence is: "what kind of option is 'I'll kill Sasuke and die myself, as well' "
That's basiclally the option Naruto chose, it seems. He's going to fight Sasuke and if he can't bring him back, he'll kill him while dying himself

Naruto: I get it, if we fight seriously now we'll both die.
Naruto: You're a friend! That's why I'll shoulder your hatred together with you by dying with you.
Sakura cries upon hearing this.
Sasuke: You don't understand anything about pain - I won't die - you alone will die.
Kakashi: You must become Hokage so let me take care of Sasuke!
Naruto: You want me to become a hokage who can't save a single comrade/friend!?


As a side note: Earlier today I saw a larger transcription of events in the mangahelpers thread, which I translated with some commentary on my journal, but the first half of that transcription seems to have been removed from the thread since then.

Haha, lol. Logic just seems like a big blurry shape to everyone there now i suppose. ESPECIALLY Naruto, like dear God. There are other alternative solutions /considering Sasuke is tired/beaten up like hell/ and Naruto chooses to DIE to embody the idea of friendship? Girl, gimme a break, srsly.

lol... logic is definitely missing from all of them. I can see if Naruto chose to die by jumping in the line of fire from an enemy nin (or something like that) as an decent way to express friendship. However, that's a different sort of sacrifice. I definitely agree that what's happening now isn't the best way. There are other options than both of them dying in a giant, fiery battle royal. I think it's going to take all of Team 7, and I hope that's what happens. It's just... everyone is trying to shoulder all the burdens alone. Sakura takes it from Naruto, Kakashi from both, Sakura from Kakashi- it keeps jumping around. I'm waiting for the eureka moment when they realize that they will only prevail as a team. Totally keeping my fingers crossed :)

I remember forever ago when Sasuke first betrayed the Leaf I thought, 'this is either going to end with everyone happy (Naruto = Hokage, Sasuke = redeemed, Sakura = new Tsunade whatever) or everyone in Team Seven is going to kill each other :/ If Naruto does and doesn't become Hokage, I think I'm going to cry, seriously :(
