Does anyone have a handmade ANBU mask they'd be willing to part with (or could make one and have it shipped out by this weekend)?
I don't want that generic plastic one you can buy on eBay/Amazon. I'm looking for a handmade one. I've commissioned two people now )paid one already) and they've both stopped responding, so I'm starting to panic.
I figured I'd try here because I'm sure someone else has cosplayed ANBU. Thanks!

Date: 2010-03-15 09:44 pm (UTC)Paper mache can be a lot easier than clay, especially if you're in a rush. You can buy any old plastic mask from a costume shop (I made an AtLA Blue Spirit mask on top of a Jason mask from the Halloween store :P) and cut out simple shapes (like ears) out of cardboard and just duct tape them on as crudely as you want - then cover the whole thing with newspasper dipped in water and starch, let it dry, and paint it :3 woohoo! It's not the most eternally durable mask in the end, but you don't have to have mad sculpting skillz.
Anyway, just putting that out there in case of emergency! ;) I hope you find someone to help you!
