The only thought I can muster up this week is "I SEE DEAD PEOPLE." And wow, Nagato looks worse than he did the last time we saw him. Which is kind of an accomplishment. Hey buddy, I know you're dead and all, but uh, you might want to eat a sandwich (or brains. Whatever zombies eat.)

Also, I'm pleased to see Tsunade has survived and fully recovered. I didn't think she'd make it.

Glad to see Tsunade is back to business, though I still wish we got a glimpse at Hokage Kakashi.

And I'm stoked about Naruto getting the key. I'm sure this will lead to 40 more chapters of him training to perfect the jutsu (the fuuton rasenshuriken???) and one chapter for it to backfire and the fox to take control.

Zombie!Akatsuki had me making strange noises that were a cross between hiccups and laughter. I really, really want for them to still keep some manner of consciousness. Mostly because I want Itachi to yell at Sasuke. But also because I want Deidara to be pissed as FUCK at still being "alive." Ah, either way. More Kabutorochi makes me a happy, happy girl.

Though I'm honestly wondering why they're stockpiling such a massive army to just fight against Madara. I mean... I guess it could be preparation, in case he really goes through with his plan? I haven't the slightest. IT'S WAR.

Also we have gone far too long without an appearance by Zetsu. :| I demand this be fixed next week.

Kabuto looks smexy, indeed. Though I recent that he resurrected them. Leave the dead in peace, you moron. Poor Nagato and his aching ribs and Sasori, and Itachi and Deidara - he looks good for a zombie, may I add.

And I do agree with someone who already said it previously, that I doubt that the Great Sage Toad and Naruto are talking about the same thing. And "him" being Sasuke would be just stupid. I think everyone read the previous chapters and all. And they know what's going on. :s But o well, we'll see.

Love Tsunade's desire to eat and her look towards Shizune - priceless. XD hahaha...good old Tsunny-chan. n-n


And I'm really excited about Naruto's and KillerBee's meeting. And their little cute monsters. That's gonna be exciting. Poor kid(Naruto) doesn't even know other jinchuuriki's.

This chapter was so...upbeat. Maybe Kishimoto realized how dark it'd been for a while and decided to brighten it up a bit?

But I did totally squee over Sakura being so happy about her shishou being alive and running around to tell everyone, and Naruto being happy too. Kind of nice to see them being adorable after chapters of sobbing and angst. ^_^:;;

Also: Man, Deidara and Sasori are short. I never realized they were shorter than Itachi--and Itachi is pretty short too. He's shorter than Sasuke is now. I thought Deidara was taller than that...Kakuzu is REALLY tall though, holy crap. And I thought Kisame was the tallest Akatsuki--maybe not?

It's a LITTLE disappointing that Kabuto is teaming up with Madara, because now it's heroes vs. Madara and co....and it's more fun if there's more factions. But maybe Kishimoto didn't want it to be so complicated? Whatever.

Apparently Edo Tensei doesn't use the person's actual body- rather, someone else's random fodder's body gets used as a vessel for the soul of the deceased.

So this may mean we see zombie!Sasori vs. puppet!Sasori.

Lol, okay so it still doesn't explain why their bodies are all decayed looking if it's actually sould but logic has never been this manga's strong point.

Oh, well.

Why do I hate Ibiki? Because he's a torturer, probably. Why is a torturer a good person, as long as he's working for the good guys? And in this case he's not even torturing Karin, but still I would have wanted someone else to interrogate her. Tsunade would have been perfect.

The good guys have united, and the bad guys unite too. Grey will be dealt with: Dsnzou (whom I thought black) is dead, and Sasuke's team are taken prisoners by the good guys. Karin is interrogated - I am still waiting for news of Suigetsu and Juugo.

"The Uchiha's fate is tormenting us all" - erm - wasn't there a time where people praised Naruto for not believing in fate? In RL politics, the belief that some group is fated to clash against another is what promotes war. And what about the Uchiha massacre? Has anyone cared to tell Tsunade about it? Kakashi? You know your duty, don't you? And the Elders, who also hold responsibility, are still in power. But I guess evil deeds don't count as long as they are committed by the good guys.

And Naruto is summoned by the great sage toad and is explained that he will meet an octopus. No surprise for us, the readers. And no surprise either that he will have to fight Sasuke. No real wisdom can be learnt from the toads. They don't even tell stories of the Rikudou.

What gives me hope? That weird sentence "I know what he is." Why "what"? Why not "who"? And is Naruto trying to hide something from the toads?

And then of course that Kabuto hesitates to call Tobi Madara. Is he doubting his identity? This would at least mean that there is no age-old conflict being carried out.

Assuming the "young man" in question is Sasuke (seriously, who else would it be?), what exactly does whats-his-face mean by what Sasuke is? Is this some sort of wonky translation that's actually supposed to mean "what he's become" or "what he's capable of"? If not, does that mean that Sasuke isn't human or he's been altered in some way?

I really hope this isn't a red herring and he isn't actually referring to a ANOTHER BAD GUY (we've got, what, 3-4 major villains all active at once?) who hasn't been introduced yet. I'm seriously sick of all these new characters. Try actually developing the ones you have instead of constantly introducing new ones if you want us to actually give a damn, Kishimoto.

I've read the Japanese transcript that was posted here earlier again, and from the translation (and what I can make out) it rather says "do you know who's manipulating him?". So, would that be Madara then? Or something else? But I got the impression that it's referring more to a person than a thing.

Okay, I'm just going to come out and say it: does anyone else get the impression that Sasuke is either a bijuu or a jinchuuriki? Maybe even the Juubi?

At this point, it's just wild speculation, but Karin noticing another presence deep inside Naruto radiating exactly the same kind of "evil" chakra she was starting to sense from Sasuke is, in a word, suspicious. It's possible that Kishimoto somehow remembered how to be subtle and it's actually an obtuse metaphor to illustrate how Naruto and Sasuke are two sides of the same coin, but that's not consistent with his current writing style.

I'm not sure how I feel about the whole concept. On one hand, it would explain a lot about Sasuke's schizophrenic characterization in the past several issues and also give Kishimoto an excuse to repeatedly cross the moral event horizon without making Sasuke irredeemable. Also, it would be kind of amusing to see Sasuke transform into a giant, Godzilla-style monster and terrorize the populace.
