Title: Incense
Characters/Pairings: Yuuhi Kurenai, Nara Shikamaru. Asuma/Kurenai
Summary: "Asuma would want to know first," Kurenai visits Asuma's grave, Shikamaru is there too. The little moments that help us deal with grief.

Note: Blah, I just wanted to write about the pressures of parenthood from Kurenai's point of view, with no father, in a hostile environment and very much alone as a pregnant shinobi where death rates are high but birth rates are low. But Shikamaru's there in his own way, even though he might not understand it all. It's not really finished, but it just kinda stands by itself, part of something bigger in the end.
